What's New in Abstractor

2.3.2

October 27, 2025

Performance improvements for a faster, smoother painting experience. Motion Layer Magic lets you paint invisible guides that make particles flow like water, wind, or smoke. Create living animations where every stroke influences the next. Flow Brushes now work with motion layers for evolving, dynamic artwork that builds over time. Advanced Flow Controls show particle movement in real time so you can fine-tune how they drift and dance. Strong Blend Mode adds bold, vivid colors that pop with intensity. Color Source Layer lets you pull colors from any imported image for radiant, fluid effects. Global Presets make it easy to reuse brush settings across layers or customize each one individually.

Hey Zombie Jombie, Just wanted to give you a heads up that I've released an update that I believe should fix the export issue. It would be awesome if you could give it a shot and see if it does the trick! Thanks a bunch for your help and support!

👍 Terrific brushes & effects!!

Refreshing twist on brushes. Would be awesome to have a little more control, leveraging Apple’s Pencil. Kindly check out PaintStorm and investigate how you can assign functions to the stylus. Just one example configuration I made is when holding it at different angles of incidents to the screen, I can vary the hue (I like because it gives more variance like a real paintbrush). Few drawing apps are taking advantage of the Apple Pencil’s features. I am a product developer myself.

This could put you a leap ahead if you can make assigning the Pencil functions a little more user-friendly than the aforementioned program, I’m confident artist will see the power in these features!! In fact how you implemented your brushes already remind me of it!You’re already thinking in that direction! … and why I wanted to encourage you!

In the meanwhile, thank you for the awesome app!! And one time purchase price!! I’ve been a longtime fan and will continue to support!!

So keep up the awesome work and hope to see more development!

Your app is on the path to being one of the best. I’ll certainly share with my art circles to help support.

Best! BillFromBuffalo

Love the app.

Updated*Having the one time price now makes it awesome, super different than other creative drawing, digital art making apps. It’s easy to get started and you can get lost just playing with it. Recommend to try it out. & Thanks!—Now it’s a one time fee which is actually great but the fact I’ve put in more $ than that on this app and am now bumped down to the free version is 👎 I was able to continue using the premium version for a while after they switched to the one-time payment but I don’t use this app all the time so coming back to it a few weeks later and now i am asked to purchase it. If I’d only spent $2 total during the subscription or something than I wouldn’t mind paying the full price but that’s not my case. It’s a fun app but can’t get over that.
