Major Disappointment
Was initially excited about the two news stations I follow having merged. Was happy both were available in a combined app. Little did I know that I would no longer enjoy my news app because pop-up ads appear at login and after EVERY TWO ARTICLES. I will now have to switch to the last local news station and their app. I’m really going to miss the anchors I have gotten my news from for many years.

Unusable due to inescapable ads
This app worked ok when I first downloaded it, but I have been forced to delete it. The reason is that the content is inaccessible due to layers of ads and popups that do not seem to have any way to close them. After tapping on anything that looked like an “X” and being redirected to multiple spam sites, I just gave up and removed the app. I understand needing to support the app with ads but this is more aggressive than one might expect from a legit app. It feels shady. I’ll get my news elsewhere.

Bad Update
Too many ads; especially the giant one on app start. I understand “ads keep things free,” but it’s a bit obnoxious to have the entire screen blocked by a video ad. I expect that from a shady application trying to scam me, not my news.
It’s also a little annoying that to see the weather, it’s now a completely separate app instead of just a tab in this app.

Zero stars if I could
Horrible “update” to my favorite KATC app. You have managed to ruin the news.
