My go-to metronome app for practice 👌

The developer is responsive to feedback. Very customizable for my guitar practice needs. Features are clearly musician driven and practical. The log feature provides both fuel for motivation and opportunity for honest self-assessment over the long-haul. I checked the accuracy of this metronome by digitally recording the phone audio and analyzing the aiff file: accurate to within 0.00001 seconds—though metronomic time is not necessarily ‘good time’, it does provide objective feedback that is useful to an aspiring musician. This app is a practical tool for self-practice — scales, pattern studies, repertoire practice and acquiring a piece do that it lives in the hands. Bravo!

Great tool for music practice!

This is a fun tool for practicing in a different way, especially when digging into something you want to develop to play faster or some kind of pattern you want to meditate on. Highly recommend!

Response from developer

Thank you! Delivering evolving patterns you can meditate on is partly why I built this. Version 1.2 went live today and it has Variations in it which change the pattern under the beat: Pulse Division (polyrhythms), Beat Placement and Pedal Tone drones can enhance your practice by shaking up the texture and tonality of what you’re hearing while you practice. Is there anything missing that would make it more useful to you? -Steve

What a great tool

The ability to start slow and with intention and then gradually increase speed is such a great approach to being able to play fast.

And the daily practice tracking is great for keeping me honest.

Response from developer

Thank you! Visualizing progress motivates me to keep going day after day. Keeping myself honest is the reason the Practice Log exists. I wanted to see the days I missed, not only the days where I did the work. Version 1.2 went live today with a ton of new ways to make practice more engaging. I hope you’ll try them out. Is anything missing that would help you? I'm still evolving and expanding tools that enable reliable ways of Being Musical. -Steve
