About
Accountable is a civic social network that helps you raise public issues with evidence — and see exactly who is responsible for acting on them.
Most social apps bury serious civic problems under entertainment and noise. Accountable is built for one thing: public and civic matters. Report a pothole, a broken streetlight, uncollected garbage, a water shortage, an unsafe road, or any governance or public-service failure — and connect it to the exact place it happened and the authority who owns it.
WHY ACCOUNTABLE
• Evidence over outrage — attach photos and video captured in the app, with location and time, so your report carries weight.
• Place-first — every issue is tied to a location, so neighbours can find and corroborate what is happening around them.
• Responsibility made clear — discover which representative, officer, or department is accountable at any spot on the map.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Explore the accountability map — Open an interactive civic map of your area and tap a layer to reveal the people and bodies responsible: your MLA, Member of Parliament, District Collector, municipal corporation, and service departments such as roads, water, sanitation, health, police, and transport.
• Report an issue in minutes — Add a photo or video, choose a category, and set a location. Post with your name or anonymously.
• Follow a civic feed that matters — See issues near you, across your city and state, or trending nationally. Appreciate, discuss, and corroborate the posts that count.
• Browse authority profiles — View structured profiles for public authorities, the posts tagged to them, and the areas they cover.
• Follow what you care about — Follow authorities, places, and issues to stay updated as things change.
• Build trust in what is real — In-app capture, location and time signals, and community corroboration help genuine reports stand out.
BUILT FOR CITIZENS
Accountable is for ordinary citizens, residents, resident-welfare groups, and anyone who cares about their streets, services, and public systems. It is non-partisan and issue-first — focused on governance, services, and accountability, not on political ideology.
A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS
Accountable is an independent public platform for civic visibility, discussion, and accountability. It is not a government app or an official complaint portal, and it does not guarantee that any authority will respond.
Turn everyday civic problems into visible, evidence-backed action. Download Accountable and help make your city more accountable.
