Fails to open on Mac
Since the app update for the Mac several days ago, the app only opens with a white screen. With further investigation, the App Store says that AccuWeather is not certified for use on the Mac! Why even bother to update it if it would not work????????
For some time the app on iPhone or iPad will load the initial screen IF it is the first time the app has opened.. If the sunburst does not show, the app does nothing. Clear the recents and it opens, but not later unless clear recents again

Weather with ads? NOooo. ADs with weather
Used to be nice. When it’s not forcing its ads on me, it still is good. But God so many Effin ads. Sometimes the effin ads come and get stuck. The only way to get to the weather is to restart the app. About 25% of the times I am opening the app and getting stuck on the effin ads.
I understand that you have to make money but harassing a user is not suddenly going to make me want to give you money. If anything I am deleting this app and using some other app that is not asking me to wait upto a minute to try and cancel an effin ad for a game that itself runs on ads.
I usually don’t use so many effs but I want the AI that reviews these review to take the message to whoever is responsible for this decision. Tone down the ads a bit. You will still make the same amount of money because more people will stay. Don’t try to get all the golden eggs by cutting open the goose. You’ll be left with nothing.

They ended support and refuse to admit it.
So I love the app. The iPad version does work well on Apple Silicon Macs. Though it is unverified. but as of mid august 2026 it no longer works.
In early august 2026 they pushed an update to likely brick the app working on a Mac. basically I would open the app and it would just be a black screen, this was over a week ago. I asked customer support several times if there was a bug, initially to report a perceived bug. And rather than just owning up to the likely reality they had me troubleshoot and delete the app and re install so I lost my widgets (they remained working in the background). And now it downloads on Mac, opens but displays no content. And they just keep flaking and wont reply. It’s THEIR app! just tell the truth! nobody would be upset with the truth, they’d be upset only when they dont just be forth coming with the truth. Like why be so petty. They won’t be accountable.

Ads appear every update with Premium+l
I have Premium+ but every time this app updates I get pop up ads! I’ve had to contact developers at least twice about this bug. I’m ready to get a refund and find another app. Not the greatest weather app I’ve used.
