With the Active Citizenship app, you will self-study a completely new course on the subject of Active Citizenship and develop skills as a manager, employee, volunteer, or founder of an NGO. You will not be alone though – you will have the opportunity to match with like-minded people and share your thoughts and reflections throughout the course. The training includes the following subjects: Self-empowerment and efficacy Theory on Active Citizenship Global Citizenship Advocacy and Campaigning Social Entrepreneurship It is intended to last 86 hours, but depending on temperament, personal conditions, and practical possibilities, it can be completed much faster (30-50 hours) or over a longer period. The app uses an advanced student-centered pedagogy, where you will read short texts, watch videos, and complete reflection exercises. The app doesn't offer any ‘correct’ or ‘wrong’ answers, but you will learn a lot. The exercises will challenge you and stimulate your critical thinking while having fun. The answers to the exercises are saved and can be revisited in your learning diary. There is a common thread running through the entire education, as you will continuously work on your personal project in the area where you want to make a difference. You will revisit your personal project after each module.
