Great tanpura
Requesting a small change
This is a great app. However, I am wondering if the developer can make a small change. Usually, when singers fine-tune a tambura, they take a small Woolen thread, wedge it between the string and the bridge, and gently move it up and down until the string produces a sustained, long & resonant vibration. When you do this for all strings, then you get a sustained ‘wave-like’ effect (mmmmm….) without the broken, individual sounds of each string. Is it possible for you to record the tambura in that way? Right now, it sounds like 4 individual strings plucked one after the other.

Acoustic Tanpura was what I needed
This app was just what we were looking for and it sounds great on the iPad. I can’t believe it’s free. Thank you very much for making this app. My wife and I love it.
Soothing and real!!
This is the most real sound I have heard of the tambura. It’s soothing and real unlike the digitized drone that’s so jarring to the ear! Fantastic for concerts and at home practice.
