The app is super easy to use and does exactly what you need it to do. Setup was quick, the layout is simple, and everything feels smooth and reliable. The NFC feature is really handy for checking device status and getting important info fast.

Possibly the worst app I’ve ever used
I have a difficult time believing that this high end rescue device will work as intended based on this associated app

Can’t even login. Can’t reset password, even though it’s the correct password.

App is worthless and who's the genius thinking neon green text on white background was a good idea . Did you hire the lowest bidder? Complete amateur attempt !
App never works
I have a brand new V5 epirb that I just spent a considerable sum on. The ACR app is worthless. Every time I try to connect to the epirb it crashes and restarts. I am unable to retrieve any test results or battery level. The link to the manuals doesn’t even work. I think/hope the epirb is good and working but if the app is any indication of ACRs technology, I have to wonder.

2024: app still garbage
Just dropped $1000 on a V5 EPIRB and registered it. I’m confident in the device but this app is useless. Did they ship the dev version? No embedded help, not even a link to the YT video that shows how to use NCR. This app could be such a great tool if it worked properly.
Easy to use
NFC is very different to use than Bluetooth or WiFi but once you understand that the app is very easy to use and navigate.

Does it do anything?
It certainly is not finding my device (V5 with AIS and RLS). It seems to do nothing. The manuals tab does not even work.
What a shame.
The app is absolutely worthless. It does not connect to the PLB via NFC. No user manual. What a disappointment. What does that say about the quality and reliability of their devices?

Worthless. How can anyone trust ACR Acrartex Ocean Signal with lifesaving devices if they publish an app this poorly designed. Take it down until tested and usable.
Needs work
App needs a lot of work. Font is in ACR yellow on a white background, hence very hard to read. Manuals button doesn’t do anything. Test either doesn’t work or not intuitive enough to do. No help built in.
