Transcribes medical terms accurately.
Privacy policy is not immediately clear, but the app transcribe some medical terms accurately. Just as good as the medical version of Dragon in my experience. The app is powered by the nuance speech recognition engine. I wish I knew more about their privacy practices.

Works well usually. However, it’s redundant, since this feature is already built into Apple iOS.

Absolutely a worthless app. It does not work. Does that work remember what you do. Don’t bother downloading.

No off line mode. Buy a different app if travel away from WiFi

Has to be online to work, not helpful for my needs. Wish that had been more clear prior to purchase.
Lousy transcription
Every sentence I spoke was incorrectly transcribed. Had to repeat it several times slowly for a correct reading.
Almost there
For the most part this is a great app--HOWEVER, there ar times when, after a period of dictation, the app fails to record, or even worse, just crashes and every piece of the current dictation is lost.

Huge time saver
Great for writing Papers, huge time saver. Accurate, even picks up a soft voice.

I have vision problems. This app allows me to communicate and create memos, reminders, notes, everything i need. The audio readback is great.
Active voice
I need more words to use this. I need to revisit the text but it disappears as soon as I say anything new. Very expensive lesson learned. Not worth the $11.
Unusable
After only a few lines the program goes into processing mode. The material I need put into text is usually 30 minutes or longer. How do I get my money back

Unusable
As with any dictation software, corrections will be needed 90% of the time. However, if I dictate more than a few lines, access to the remainder of the dictation is not possible within the application since it is covered by the keyboard and cannot be scrolled. That is unfortunate, since the accuracy of the dictation is very good. I asked a developers about this problem in February but as of today's date (March 16) they have not responded. I think that is time enough to respond to queries. With such all lack of support, this is an application I can well do without.

Not there yet..
This app needs to be able to learn new words, such as names. It needs to be able to be taught, and speak back to you. It doesn't have much of a purpose, if one could use it too write a paper verbally, that would be cool. Make it user friendly for the purpose of writing a paper.
Active voice HD
I think this is a great program. Matter of fact I'm using it to dictate this note right now. Not sure why it's gotten lower ratings, nevertheless, I will continue to use it and watch. Right now I'll give it a four out of five.
Great concept, but...
This needs to be a keyboard extension. Having to open a separate app to input text is *so* iOS 7! Not a five-star app because it doesn’t blow me away, and an extension would come close to doing that. So a good solid four because it does exactly what it’s says it will do, and it does it well.
BTW, this is not intended to be a digital transcriber for lectures, meetings, and the like. it’s clearly meant to allow the user to dictate messages — at close range — and convert the speech to text. If you want what is effectively a digital life transcriber, you’ll likely need to shell out quite a bit more money and devote quite a bit more processing power to the task. And probably use something other than an iPad.

Active Voice
What a waste of money. Does not interpret what you are saying. This app is a joke. I had to buy it because I thought it was free but found out it was not.
Does not do all
Doesn't catch all of the words dictated. Does not speak the words even though the speak icon is functional. Dumping this software!
