Not User Friendly
The ActiveParent app is not very user-friendly and provides minimal information. The layout is confusing, and it takes more effort than it should to find basic information. There is a lot of room for improvement in both the functionality and the amount of information provided. A more intuitive design with clearer, more detailed information would make this app much more useful for parents.

App not working
App just had a blank blue screen now, can’t log in
Doesn’t work at all
Why can’t i change pick up and aim call information. After registration all the phone numbers got jumbled together and the wrong people are getting notifications. I went to log on and simply change everything back but now there is no edit option anymore.
Needs improvement
This app could be so much better if it functioned as an app. Right now it is just another version of the website. It is basically a tiny website. They had so many opportunities to make it better and more user friendly. Unfortunately they were not thinking about their audience.
Worthless
APP opens to blue screen and then crashes. Completely worthless.
quit sending report cards home so I have to
This app is not user friendly and the only reason I have download it now is because they quit sending report cards home so I have to use it. My kids just let me look at their active student.
Horrible
Absolutely a waste of space, it is inefficient and it is time consuming, horrible at it’s purpose
Bad app
It’s a bad app it won’t even let me long in after I put in my right information and everything
Horrible
Trying to register my kids for school is so time consuming and stressful. I called the school and it still didn’t work. It should be way better to do all things pertaining to school.
Not as user friendly
The app used to be much more user friendly before the most recent version. I wish it still had the option to use Face ID for login or at least the option to remember the username and password. Everything is so small and hard to see. It was much easier to use in the past. I do not like the new format.

Go back to old version
DO NOT LIKE THE UPDATE! Why do we need to see multiple districts? I just need my children’s. Also I miss that it won’t do face recognition anymore!
Takes forever
This app used to be good but it’s no longer an app. It’s just an icon that then takes you to the online page. It’s takes forever to load.
Worst upgrade ever!!
I loved Active Parent before the upgrade. Now it is TERRIBLE… takes forever to get to schedule n grades and then the fonts are so small it is hard to see. If you go back to check on something else… guess what?? … you have to select your school… log in and then go back to search through the tiny print. Not well thought out. Should be called “Frustrated parent” now.

2.0 is not an improvement
The 2.0 update makes this app much less phone friendly. The app now displays the website, but the website doesn’t use responsive design. Basically this app is now just a desktop sized web browser for the ActiveParent website.
It’s just a major step-back in terms of app design.

Update is terrible!
Please set it back to the old way! This version is terrible!!
Terrible! Bring back the old app!
What is the point of having an app that just takes you to a website? The old version had Face ID and I have to put in a user name and password every time. Not user friendly..bring back the old.
This isn’t an app anymore?
Over the summer this “app” supposedly updated & I got signed out & couldn’t sign back in. The school secretary reset my account today & when I logged in, I’m confused as to if this is an app or just the website??? It wasn’t great before but it’s really bad now. Won’t stay logged in, no Face ID anymore, everything is tiny & hard to find.

Worst app update
This app update is the worst. There was no problem with the previous version. Now it just redirects you to the desktop version. It took me forever to locate the grades. Not iPhone friendly at all. I hate it so much.
Awful
Once again an app “update” that only not only DOES NOT improve the app it makes it less user friendly. I can’t believe school districts pay for junk like this…wait a minute…yes I can. Lowest bidder. You get what you pay for. Probably people you get on the phone for Xfinity customer service are the same ones who developed this app. And the Dexcom Follow app as well. If I could give negative stars I would. I now have NO WAY of knowing whether an absence has been excused or not. Only says “absent”; before update it said excused or unexcused. School district is notorious for not posting absences as excused, so how am I supposed to know now??? Wait until it’s too late??? Unbelievable
Edited to add: And by the way, this isn’t even an “app” anymore. It’s only a redirect to the website. I wonder what sort of bribery or nepotism occurred to get so many Mississippi school districts to purchase this crap.

Useless
This is the first time I’ve ever used this app and I find it totally useless. I need to reset my password and there is absolutely no way possible that I can find outside of going to another school district. This app needs major improvement.
I wouldn’t even give it one star but it makes you in order to post this review.
