There is no app support. There is no response when they are written to be at the app, which I did twice. There is a page to submit a headshot and resume which doesn’t seem to work. I can’t get help with this. I hope someone reads this and tries to contact me, because I can’t get to contact anyone there via any other route.

So downloaded the update.
It’s working again. Well it was working before I updated again. Haven’t had a chance yet to really test it. That is what I am doing now. So far it is a big improvement over last time.
Good stuff for a serious actor
This makes it so easy to see what is filming and where. If you’re being strategic about contacting casting directors or even agents/managers. This is a great tool. Makes it very helpful with constructing a game plan for yourself.
Pointless
This app is so pointless, I can get all this info from actual casting sites that will allow me to actually submit to. The app gives you the CD info, but all the CD have listed themselves as "do not contact".... What am I suppose to do with that? Wish I had read the other one star reviews before I paid for this pointless/useless app.

Not useful to a professional actor working outside NY or LA, and there are a lot of us.
Great app for the active actor
Awesome app with all the info an actor needs like casting director info. This also gives you all the films and tv shows that are being casted. If youre trying to get into the industry, then you need this app.
Treating the actor like a pro
As an actor & someone who has worked in casting for years, I truly value that a celebrated CD for the past 20 years took the time to make an app that helps the professional actor. This app values actors in a town where a lot of times we are treated like children, newbies, and replaceable. I have the premium version on my phone and the free at home, so I can use it whenever I need. Having a Cliff Notes to what is going on at my fingertips is always welcome.
As far as the negative complaints below about it only being in two cities, LA & NYC were not randomly chosen: they are the center cities for acting in this country. Yes, we are thrilled that acting has taken off in many regional areas, including Louisiana, Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, NM, Texas, Carolinas, Boston, etc., I am not disputing that. Right now, the volume of work in LA & NYC is why the app is so valuable for those of us here trying to balance. And give the app a chance that in the future more regional areas might be added!

Actor genie was one of the most helpful tools i have come across in my acting career. How easy the app was to use was very surprising not to mention all the helpful casting information and the option to choose between tv show castings and movie casting. I found the tips of the day amazingly helpful and absorbing the opinions of working actors on questions i myself had second thoughts about was very reassuring and beneficial. Actor genie has taken everything you will ever need On you way to becoming a actor and packed into a easy to use app that is with you wherever you go. I would strongly encourage anyone who is the acting community to use this app, a must have for any actor!

Misleading
Only gives you contact info. Doesn't tell you how to submit. Use yellow pages for free instead.

It is all basic production info. The actor still needs a breakdown and contact info. This app is overpriced, overhyped, and useless.

First of all, all the info on the site is not up to date or inaccurate. The information on here is pointless. You can get the same info on imdb pro. I get more casting notice from LA casting and Actors access then this waste of time app. Bad app! Good try though... Not!
