Children’s Bible and expected titles but I realized I needed to narrow my search to picture books and very early reader titles before I got to the “Summa”😉.
Very useful tool
I love this AI and its mission
Developer Greed
Response from developer
Hello there, thank you for the feedback. We understand the concern, and we never want Acutis AI to feel like it is taking advantage of people who are seeking faithful answers. Just to clarify: every question asked in Acutis costs money to process through AI/API usage, servers, and the tools required to keep the platform running. Acutis is built and funded by college students, and right now the project is operating at a loss. We’re continuing to build it because we believe Catholic families and young people need access to AI that aligns with Church teaching. The paid version exists so the platform can stay online and continue improving, while still allowing us to offer a free version. The vast majority of our users are free users, and we’re grateful for that. We also try to provide more free access than many similar tools, including Catholic AI platforms that do not offer a free tier at all. We are also working toward ways to significantly increase the free question limit in the future, including exploring more efficient and open-source AI models. That kind of development takes a lot of time, testing, and resources, but our hope is to make Acutis more accessible as we grow. We’re sorry the current limits came across differently. Our intention is not greed, but sustainability: keeping Acutis available, faithful, and useful for as many people as possible.
Easy and helpful
A gift!
Amazing Catholic AI
Needs improvement
Has potential
Assuming this is just a wrapper of sorts, You could instead create a knowledge base of Catholic works like Summa Theologica and have it reference that or the catechism, plus other scholarly Catholic literature.
Also the model loses context within the same conversation. When I asked “refer to my first question” it had no idea what I was referring to and I was only about 5 question into the convo.
I also noticed the model cited quite a few non catholic sites when I asked a question regarding Actus Purus.
EDIT: tried it again and used some easy to find jailbreak prompts and was able to get through their guardrails. Kids are smart they will find a way to circumvent this. I also don’t see parental controls or time limit options as they advertised on Fox News.
