Static

What happened? Bunch of static. Reloading didn’t help.

Bringing new life to old gear

While more than a decade old, I just purchased this app as part of an effort to keep my ipad2/alesis iodock combo viable. I initially bought Addictive Pro, assuming that because it lists iOS 9 as the minimum required it would work, but sadly it does not (so be warned.) I already had Cube Synth Pro, by the same developer, for a few years on my iPad8 and one might expect Addictive to provide the same sonic palette. But, unless I’m missing something, Addictive appears to offer more diverse and compelling sounds and possibilities.

Still loving it

Just roll the dice and you’ll get something you’ve never heard before. Nice presets too. One of my favorites.

Crashes

Using IOS 15.1 this app crashes upon opening. 😕

Every sound is transposed up +1, not true to key

Other than that, sounds are Fabtastic.

How can I control Addictive Synth?

You can play melodies live using the onscreen keyboard, which supports slides and vibrato. For more advanced control, it is compatible with CoreMIDI compatible MIDI keyboards and the Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer. The app also features a control matrix for real-time parameter adjustments using the iPad's X/Y touchpad, modulation wheel, and tilt sensors.
