Charged full price when I thought I was getting a trial

Addie magic has never worked, recurring tasks never recur, the restore purchase button is plain text so I cannot access any premium features (if they even worked), emails to developers bounce back, and the websites are all nonexistent! This app has clearly been shut down but the App Store hasn’t removed it! Google’s App Store has already taken it down, but the apple App Store won’t even refund me the $60 I paid when I thought I was signing up for a free trial. Awful experience.

Help!

Every time I try and log in it takes me to the choose a package page even though I’ve had the subscription for a month. I can’t log in to get support and I won’t be continuing to pay for a subscription for an app I can’t even use. Help!

No prices?

OK. I get overwhelmed by apps and it takes a lot for me to focus enough to get it set up so I can actuly try it out. 7 days is a tight commitment to make that decision but that's not the issue.

The issue is I can't see how much it's going to cost before I commit. I can pay monthly and I can pay yearly, and paying yearly saves 33%, but 33% of what?

Also, it doesn't mention in-app purchases in the app store which feels a little cheaty. Those things combined already have your app starting off on two wrong feet over a pretty easy fix. Just be transparent about the price.

Ok, but not fully functional

I love the idea of this app. I even started a subscription for it. But I am not getting enough notifications for it to be useful and every time I open it, it asks for me to get a subscription, which I already have! I really wanted this app to work out but it needs more TLC.

So worth it!

This has everything I was looking for in an app to help me get organised in the overwhelm! I can write my own tasks, the app has AI to help break it down into smaller tasks and you can set a timer to get it done! And then you get points! The fact the will also refund if you miss the end of the free trial means they get us well haha!

Daylight robbery

That’s absolutely ridiculous making people pay to be able to live a life they can manage more easily. The app is supposed to help people but they make you pay a fortune . I’m sure the app is good but still can’t get over the payment

Payment but still offering a free trial everytime log in and all lists disappeared! No admin contact

I really wanted to give this a try. The free trial was great and worked up to payment. Every time I log in it offers the free trial and I have to click free trial and then it says I have a subscription and logs me in. Every 7 days my lists disappear, I have emailed 5 times to admin from different emails starting from 17/11 and still had no responses to a single email for support or a refund as I can’t use this app at all. I suspect it’s a bug, however if it can’t be used and there’s no admin response, it’s pointless. Sadly I will be looking elsewhere.

I need help

I cannot access the app after buying a subscription, but testing it with another temporary account does. I don’t know why but it opens, closes, changes colour and opens, then goes back to the pricing selection even though I bought it

Addie seems like a good app for my adhd but I can’t give it a feasible rating until I actually use the app

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Love the swiping

Nice app. The task swiping is fun. Not seen that before. Makes my ADHD brain think differently, which is great. Would like routines but it says that is coming soon, so happy to wait.

Poor Support

I was keen to try the app functions; set up a few tasks and then noticed timezone issues impacted its calendar. That’s when the frustration began with its AI Help Bot. So I went exploring through the app in search of what I needed, without success. Immediately cancelled subscription - not worth the stress and poor support.

Addie

I like the format but it’s very, very expensive for the parts I use. And I realised today that tasks with a specified date for completion, if not completed that day, sometimes vanish without a trace. No amount of tinkering with filters will bring them back. My heart has sunk because I was relying on this to remember and there will be tasks that have simply gone undone and will stay that way until I’m rumbled

Unfortunately pay guarded

Requires subscription which is disappointing. I understand why though- paying developers. Perhaps they could offer a completely free version to help more people interact with the app as there is only one other rating.

Great so far…

I say so far, because… well… ADHD. Things tend to start well when they’re new, shiny and exciting, but as is very typical of ADHD and in particular my personal ADHD experience, things tend to dry out a little. I’ve been using this just over a week now, and it’s still working for me just now.
Things I love:
The simple easy tasks shown as cards that you flip through. Means I can either go with the priority task, or chose another one that takes my fancy.
The simplicity of creating the task. I love the AI option, Addie Magic. I use it to start me off with tast break downs then I adjust it to my situation.
The reminders and rewards. Rewards are always good.
Maybe once the “journal” aspect of the app is up and running, you could start earning different type fonts, pens or stickers for your journal.
There’s a few improvements and updates that I know are in the pipeline from the apps news and info pages - lots of which are really exciting so I can’t wait for those features.
A massive thing for me would be the ability to share my subscription with my family.
Currently, I can just about justify the tenner a month I’m paying for me. But I know both my kids, one ADHD the other AuDHD would LOVE this app. I can’t afford to pay for all three though. I either sneak it and log them in under my name - which is a) cheeky and b) messes up my to-do list and stats and c) doesn’t give them their own list and stats.
Or…
I buy three subscriptions! Sorry, but other things like the food shop and bills come at a higher priority.

So, can you do a family option subscription that is a reasonable and affordable price asap. Or make it available under Apple Arcade if such a thing is possible. That would be bloody brilliant. Then, we could challenge each other and up the gaming ante and really get stuff done!

I’d also love it if you could combine this with something like the GEMs programme. Recording three things you’re thankful for in a simple easy to access way would be a good boost for mental well being. Make it simple with the path or least resistance and you’re on to a winner.

Thanks so far for a good app.

Potential

I think the Home Screen is very enticing and the deck of cards layout is really positive for sorting through your tasks. I think trackers should be more visible so you don’t have to scroll to get to them and I also think at the price point, I would want some kind of calendar feature to justify it. I think it would also be positive to be able to add your own trackers.

I have been going through all the productivity apps and I’m not actually adverse to paying for them, but I feel in this case it doesn’t tick enough boxes for me to do so. There also isn’t a road map in regards to future updates, and everything I have found is 6months+ old.

Scam

Awful, I payed for a subscription and wanted the free trial so cancelled it before the free trial was over but I haven’t got my money back. I tried to contact them by email and phone number but none have responded. The app doesn’t even work after I payed for it! It’s awful and I’m trying to get my money back 😭 please don’t pay for this app 😭

Avoid!!!!!Not nice Addie!

I had installed this app to give it a go and use the free trial to then decide which app was fitting the best my needs.I had to note it on the calendar (of course) when to unsubscribe. It says it’s a 7 days free trial, actually it’s not.The payment was pending when I woke up on the 6th day (but I didn’t checked), I unsubscribed that morning thinking everything was good, I end up not be able to use the app (because I unsubscribed) and being charged (far too much for what it is). Contact the costumer service that make the refund so awkward that I managed just to get the use of the app. Honestly shame on you!!!
Taking the piss out of ADHD people!

Potential

This app has a lot of potential; I love the concept! Unfortunately it seems like there are still some bugs to work out. I put all my tasks in for the day but when I reopened the app, they were all gone but one.

I’ll hang onto it and keep an eye open for updates. I really do look forward to using this app when it’s finished! At that time I’m sure I’ll be able to leave a 5 star review.

Response from developer

Hi there, Thanks for your feedback and good to hear you're seeing some potential with the app. We're working hard to improve everyday, so please keep the feedback coming - admin@addieapp.com Thanks, Phil (CEO @ Addie)

Great app

Having been diagnosed with combined type ADHD a few months ago, this app contains everything I had separate apps for so I can organise my tasks and things in one place,

The only downside is that, I have music playing near enough constantly, the sound that plays when you complete a task stops the music and I have to restart it, otherwise this app has been helping me a lot the past week, worth the subscription.

Not for me

Cute but too expensive, similar and cheaper options available elsewhere

Lots of positives but needs some improvements

Firstly I really enjoyed using Addie when I had a subscription. I love the gamification concept and the use of ML to generate subtasks, estimate time etc. It is certainly built with ADHD in mind, unlike some other apps which target vulnerable ADHDers but are not useful for us

It was really good for me to create a big task (or even just “before bed tasks”) and fire in subtasks and it would help me stay focussed on the task. It was also helpful to see how long I estimate (or underestimate) tasks to take.

The only downside is the cost of the subscription. The app is a bit buggy and doesn’t have features advanced enough to justify £10 per month. I’ve got enough other vital subscriptions so I just couldn’t justify it. I appreciate app developers and employees need to be paid however so I might suggest you have a good fremium version, or have ads or partnerships to lower the cost of subscription or work on more advanced features so people are happy to pay for it.
