About

Adhan & Qibla gives you prayer times, the Qibla direction, and a gentle way to keep your own prayer record. It was built as a charity: it is free, it will always be free, and it takes nothing from you. IT WORKS WITH NO INTERNET, EVER Prayer times are astronomy, not data. Everything is calculated on your phone from the position of the sun. Around 170,000 cities are stored inside the app, so you can search for a place on a plane. There is no server, no account and nothing to subscribe to. TIMES YOU CAN TRUST Choose from twelve calculation methods — Umm al-Qura, the Egyptian General Authority, Muslim World League, Karachi, ISNA and more — with the right one picked automatically for your country. Set the Asr method, and nudge any prayer by a few minutes to match your local mosque. ALERTS THAT ACTUALLY REACH YOU Fajr can use a real alarm that breaks through silent mode and Focus. Every other prayer can play the adhan, a soft chime, a silent banner, or nothing at all — set each one separately. Pick between two muezzin recordings, and hear each one before you settle on it. YOUR PRAYER RECORD, WITHOUT THE GUILT Record a prayer straight from the notification or the home screen widget, without opening the app. See a month at a glance, done in green and missed in gold — there are no streaks to break and nothing shown in red. REMEMBRANCE THROUGH THE DAY A silent reminder to send blessings on the Prophet, every thirty minutes, hour or three hours — pausing overnight between Isha and Fajr on its own. An Azkar widget puts a phrase of remembrance on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, changing every ten minutes. SEVERAL PLACES AT ONCE Keep your own city, your family's, and Makkah side by side. Drag to reorder them, swipe to remove one. Travel somewhere new and the app asks before changing anything, showing you exactly how many minutes differ. ALSO • Qibla compass that tells you when it is unsure • Hijri calendar, and Ramadan with suhoor and iftar times • Home screen and Lock Screen widgets • Full Arabic, with right-to-left layout and translated place names • Light and dark PRIVACY Your location never leaves your phone. No analytics, no advertising identifier, no third-party SDKs, no data collected at all. Prayer times by Adhan Swift. City data from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Adhan recordings by Mishary Rashid Alafasy and Mansour Al-Zahrani.

Azkar A new tab with the morning and evening azkar, and a set for any time of day. Tap a card to count its repetitions. In Arabic, from the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Azkar reminders A nudge after Fajr and after Asr, when each window opens. Tap it and the right set is already open. Date widget Today's date in both calendars, Gregorian and Hijri, on your Home Screen or your Lock Screen. A new Today screen The sun's path across the day with every prayer marked on it, and Fajr and Isha below the horizon where they belong. Fixed The Salawat reminder now actually arrives — it had been scheduling nothing at all. The next-prayer widget no longer cuts off its text on the Lock Screen. Places has moved into Settings to make room for Azkar. Text no longer breaks mid-word at the largest accessibility sizes.
