Adhd & autism feelings therapy User Reviews

Fantastic with patient adult help.

As a speech language therapist I can’t wait to use this with my students. It is clearly designed by developmental experts. It is not a game to be played independently by the child.

First task: —-what do they see in the picture—-training the child to look for real life facial expressions and infer based on the entire context of the picture to decide what is happening and how the child might feel. Then the child considers what action could be taken—get help,do nothing, get a hug, etc. Unlike some apps that have “right” and “wrong” answers— this app lets the child consider possibilities without feeling they need to worry about scores. Not only that it supports the idea that typically the social-emotional world isn’t black and white.

This app is well designed to help younger and older children with social-emotional challenges, as well as more “typical” children.

Response from developer

Mary, Thank you so much for your warm words. Best, Rani

Love it!!

My son who is five usually has a hard time controlling his anger at school and sometimes at home. So, I mentioned this app to his school and I use it at home with him. Every time he feels upset we open the app and work on figuring out how do the kids or parent look in the picture and then choose what can he do to resolve and is it good or bad to feel this way and how should he react. This is great because not only is he learning to care for others he is also learning to express his feelings and still be able to keep himself calm no matter the situation.

I was skeptic about this...

I thought it will be good for my 3 years old son Philip, to get some trainings using a special needs app. At first? I was skeptic about this but I wanted to give it a try. So I downloaded the free version of this app. My son just loves it! We usually move together throughout the levels of the game, BUT even if I need him distracted for a while he stays focused and work independently. I’ve seen him gains control and confident as long as he is practicing every day. Only for this... I purchased the full version and I’m happy for doing so. Bottom line? Highly recommended!
