Terrible
When I first installed this very expensive video security system it was working. They must have done some sort of update because now I can’t get my I- phone 14 to connect to the cameras. I keep trying to no avail. So very disappointed.
After updating firmware of eye 2.0 bmw camera is dead
Camera was working, until i install this app and update firmware, how can i get back my old camera’s firmware???
Very Disappointing
I was hoping to have an added safety feature on my vehicle and after an expensive install realized how difficult it is to actually access the recordings. I’ve been able to access the app a few times but there seems to be no method to it’s madness. You almost have to wait until the stars align as I can’t get into the app on a consistent basis. It’s EXTREMELY frustrating. It’s one thing to only be able to access the app when you are in your vehicle but even when I try to view it on a computer it doesn’t seem to have all the files. Despite trying all sorts of troubleshooting, I still cannot figure this application out so it’s just a really expensive decoration for my car and not really useful.
This really needs to be half a star. Please fix this app!

BMW's dash cam is so expensive and not serviced accordingly. I hope you can invest a little money in this app, don't deceive consumers of BMW users, this will also have a great negative impact on the BMW brand! Please fix a lot of bugs in the app! BMW Front and Rear Camera system
This app is awful first it’s difficult to install and one installed you need to connect it and once you put it in drive it disconnects.

How come this app doesn’t work and connect with iPhone?! Even BMW service couldn’t help and asked me to use Samsung (android) because only this app can connect… really?! Guys this blackbox cost very expensive compared to others and quality is so bad… I have only one word for this - disappointed!!!
Very Disapponted
I spent over $900 with product and install and cannot get the device to sync with my Apple IPhone 11. Ideally, the device should just show up in My Mini Menu in the car’s screen.
Followed all the instructions gone through all the hoops of turning off Bluetooth and Apple Car Play...and still nada.

Complete Trash with Current Version
Not sure if it’s the firmware, app, or both. The hardware itself seems fine. The connection to the device via the app is fine on first connect or just after a refresh. After changing/updating settings the connection terminates (randomly?) and then you cannot reconnect via WiFi until you do a factory reset.
I’ve done this several times playing around changing settings, testing detections etc. It’s got to be software/app or firmware related.
I’m running the latest of both. Until these connection issues are resolved I would advise everyone to stay away.
In addition the feature set of the app itself leaves a lot to be desired for the hardware capabilities.

really?? BMW??? you release a non-working product??
unable to reconnect from the app after making the initial connection and changing settings to your desired ones. no mater what you do with reboots and reinstalls. the only way to reconnect is to reset wifi on camera, do your thing, but then you WILL NOT reconnect again. you’re stuck in this loop. issue is in camera software, wifi connectivity handling with iphone app has a serious bug!!! I can reproduce this all day long. running latest firmware.

The app is trash
The app is slow and you can’t add more than one car! It’s a piece of junk! I’m very disappointed! Something needs to be done!
Crashes. File sharing is not user friendly
It has gotten a bit better comparing to the previous version. Still there are random crashes. It is possible to download a recording to the app, but then it is not possible to share the recording with other apps. Or actually it is possible, by you need to figure out that you need to open Files app and then On you Phone Files and then ACE 2.0.

Absolutely horrible
The hardware and the application are a nightmare. The BMW dealership installed the camera system, and the application refuses to work. The same errors listed in the previous review persist. What should be seamless and easy is an absolute waste of time and money. Avoid - you have been warned.

i just install car eye to my 2019 x7 it only watch the video when you car start and ace power on and you open wifi connect the ace name you set up before then go back to ace app open watch
App doesn’t work
App installation is virtually impossible. I can’t find the WiFi Connection the app claims you must connect to. It keeps rejecting the “connect” application. I have emailed the developer for help and I hope I hear something from them soon.
Update: I downloaded the app update on May 14 and now I cannot connect to the app. The app was finally working in the last 3 weeks, recording and going into parking mode with engine off, but now keeps repeating “recording started” and no connection according to the app. Very frustrated.

Update bad
My ACE 2.0 was working perfectly before this new update and now it doesn’t work. Get this fixed ASAP!
This is a terribly designed App
I was able to get the app to work, but trying to download the video or pictures is absolutely useless. It’s not compatible with Mac’s or PC’s or IPhone’s, when you download in the app it does not move videos over to your picture file...you can do nothing but view on your phone!
I spent $800 on the unit with installation, seriously considering taking it back to BMW for a full refund!

This is nonsense!
This app needs a major update I have 2018 x5 and iPhone XS Max it took four BMW Tech to try make this thing work and it crashed and it won’t come back up on the app. It cost to much money to be this complicated why can’t it be like connected Drive for BMW I’m returning it. They make the video look so hot but it’s NOT! Major glitches

ACE 2.0 does not connect to iPhone
I disabled Apple Car Play and tried connecting to the SSID broadcast by the camera which was BMWACE2 instead of BMWACE2.0 which is mentioned in the manual - trying the default password of 1234567890 did not work.
I am using an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 12.2
Right now the camera is useless as I cannot connect to it and view the videos.
Please help!
