Useless!
When purchasing a $1500+ camera one would expect the app that controls it to work. This app fails on multiple fronts:
Apparently the developer doesn’t understand the concept of long press on iOS, which this app attempts to use for pan and tilt. It fails because they never override the iOS default behavior, which is to active app switcher. So anytime you try to pan or tilt the camera the live view moves to the background.
Don’t even think about adjusting the WDR setting unless you want the camera to completely lock up. You’ll be forced to unplug the Ethernet POS for a hard reboot. There’s also lack of settings in the app that one would expect: Iris setting, creating zones, diagnostics, etc.
Based all how poorly this app performs I wouldn’t recommend Advidia branded cameras to anyone until they get their act together with the app. honestly I wouldn’t expect them to fix it, because that’s
how big companies operate nowadays.
