About

Air pressure in an aircraft cabin changes fastest during descent. AeroBaro reads your iPhone's built-in barometer and shows you exactly how fast — so you can start equalizing early instead of noticing too late. WHAT IT DOES AeroBaro tracks the rate of cabin pressure change in hectopascals per minute and gives you one glanceable state: steady, changing, or changing quickly. When the cabin starts coming down it nudges you to take out sealed in-ear headphones and swallow or yawn — the same general comfort advice published by aviation authorities. A live chart shows the last ten minutes, so you can watch the whole descent unfold. HOW IT WORKS • Reads the barometric pressure sensor built into iPhone 6 and later • Averages over a 60-second window, so lifting your phone off the tray table doesn't throw the reading off • Works in hPa/min — the quantity that actually matters to your ears, not an altitude estimate • Three sensitivity levels, including one for flying with a cold WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL Everything runs on the sensor already in your phone. No internet, no GPS, no account. AeroBaro works in Airplane Mode with everything switched off. A REMINDER SO YOU DON'T MISS IT iOS doesn't let any app read the barometer in the background, so AeroBaro can't watch your whole flight. Instead, tell it how long until you land and it will remind you when it's worth opening — 45, 30 and 15 minutes before. Reminders are optional, work in Airplane Mode, and you can cancel them at any time. TRY IT BEFORE YOU FLY Tap "See a demo flight" to watch a simulated climb, cruise and descent play out in about a minute, so you know what to expect at 38,000 feet. BEFORE YOU USE IT AeroBaro is a comfort aid for travel. It is not a medical device and it is not medical advice. It doesn't examine you and can't tell you whether your ears are fine — it knows one thing: the air pressure at your phone. It is also not an aviation instrument and tells you nothing reliable about the aircraft. Always check with a doctor in addition to using this app and before making any medical decision. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before flying if you have ear, nose, sinus or hearing trouble, if you are unwell, or if you are flying with an infant. Instructions from the cabin crew always come first. PRIVACY No account, no tracking, no analytics, no data collected. Nothing leaves your device.
