Updated to iOS 26 and can’t make no overlays or text will not come up please help
Recording failing
Amazing little thing, but I have been experiencing failed recording since I bought this device. Why am I having this issue? Secondly, why is there nobody reviewing or giving tutorials or something for the past three years or so? Which means anyone who recently bought it might not have an up to date tutorial guide.

Livestream
It has worked great for weekly services. The main issue we have is that livestream gets interrupted by a low memory message.
App won’t load up keeps crashing
For some reason this app don’t load-up, it crashes, been doing this for months now. I have gone to drastic measures including wiping my iPad completely clean, no other app on the iPad but the aero cast live app, still the issue is not resolved. Feels like £290 down the drain😭😤😢

Lovely little device with lots to be desired.
I recently purchased AeroCaster VRC-01, and I love it, though there remain several fixes and basic features that are desired, primarily related to the app.
1. One desired feature is the ability to duplicate a scene. This would eliminate the need to recreate each scene and match it to another one when all we need to do is change the camera sources.
2. There's no built-in Lower Thirds feature—title, name, subtitle, logo—which I find disappointing. I wish there were Chroma Key for Camera inputs, allowing us to create transparent lower thirds through another computer and OBS. Currently, we can only create non-transparent lower thirds with OBS because the input source doesn't support transparency. If only we could add multiple text and image layers in one scene, unless I've missed something.
3. Additionally, the consistency of the app and the controller device needs improvement. When controlling the scenes on the device, it always projects it to Program view. I wish it didn't do that, especially when "To PGM directly" is toggled off. That way, we could still preview it before sending things live. Furthermore, it'd be great if ALL scenes were toggle-based—being able to click on a SCENE again to return to the original view without the PIP. Currently, we click on a PIP scene, and to remove it, we need to find the camera angle and click on that to exit the PIP. I wish there were Scene-based switching so that we could create just one PIP scene and still be able to switch camera angles.
4. There's a need for more preset SCENE compositions. I wish there were a SPLIT SCREEN composition that doesn't crop the aspect ratio of the camera, and the ability to add a background image to it.
5. Additionally, I wish there were a built-in EQ, at least through the app.
6. I wish AeroCaster Live app can launch without the controller, so we can prepare things from anywhere when we didn't bring with us the controller device. Unless every update we do is stored on the device itself.
Just a note: Mic 2 doesn't seem to produce phantom power if it's not plugged into the wall. This is something to keep in mind. Initially, I thought I received a defective unit. Also, the power brick is not included in the package.
Despite these points, I love the simplicity and portability of AeroCaster. I can live with the limitations since I can still accomplish many things through another computer. I can project lyrics, slide presentations, and I can even use my mirrorless camera as an input source. 😊

Mostly good
Love the program but some devices can’t hear the videos when we go live.
iPhone camera won’t display
I have reported this a week ago and still waiting for either a fix or insight to correct the problem of my IPhone connecting to the live app but not displaying a camera viewing on the live app or the IPhone camera app instead it’s a black screen on both apps with the focus setting blinking from continuous to locked on the live app as well as the camera app. All permissions have been granted on both the live app and IPhones, uninstalled and reinstalled has been done several times with both the camera app and live app, firmware has been reinstalled and the same situation. I can connect a tablet and the live app displays with no problem but not the IPhones 7, 8 the 8 plus which they all were connecting and displaying before with no issues. Justin Strazdas, CTS from the sales support engineering department has reached out and he said that I sincerely hope they are working on it but meanwhile my streaming show is effected by this setback. Need someone to help me out here please thank you

Please fix the one Bug i have discovered.
I LOVE and use AeroCaster V 1.5.6. ROLAND is King in my book. PLEASE fix the one bug that occurs when importing iPad Photos into the MEDIA pane and Recording them as a saved iPad Video file. They appear correctly for half a second, and then “stretch” horizontally out of proportion in the Recording. There is a work around by assigning each photo to a SCENE but that is time consuming and I am lazy, lol ;) Other than that one bug, there is NO OTHER Product out there I am aware of that competes with AeroCaster for less than $2K.

I’m final writing my review based on hours of frustration with this product and at my wits end with this product I’m hoping this might motivate someone to actually fix something.From using this products quite extensively I would say that the problem lies in the software the hardware and the audio application seems pretty solid,Will it rain does the hardware completely useless at the software doesn’t work.
I have spent countless hours troubleshooting product/software and countless hours writing to your product specialists Roland. countless hours frustrating production work just trying to get this product to record. This is an amazing product but you have to realize not everyone necessarily wants to live stream. I’m not sure why you’re less expensive Roland LiveCastGo hasthe ability to record but this product five times as expensive doesn’t have that capability.
I know you can set up a stream key and use the record function that way that’s not the problem. The problem is I often find the software is unable to record to my camera roll for some reason. I constantly get an error code and it says failed to load restart app. I’ve done countless hours of lost podcast footage lost hundreds of hours of content due to it not recording or the this software crashing. It’s not user error because I’ve used it with my iPad Pro I’ve used it with my iPad mini six and it’s all the same story. If this doesn’t work in a casual or professional via environment no matter how cool it is or how innovative it is by using your existing device is this really doesn’t matter because it’s completely useless. Unfortunately I’m stuck with this product now because I spent so much time messing with it that I’m already passed the return policy on Amazon so I guess I’m stuck with it. I will be waiting for Roland to actually do something with his product. UPDATE IT or fixed the software crashes. Please allow their users to actually use it to record content instead of relying on live streaming everybody is still waiting for this promised feature.

Drastic Change in 06/2022 Update: WARNING
This app and platform are a game changer overall. Way to capitalize on an brilliant streaming method with common devices! The functionality and ease at this price point are unbeatable. As more features are added the Aerocaster app will only improve. Solid performance as well - I have never had an issue with crashes or performance during our typical 3-hour streams. Amazing.
My only disappointment comes with the changes made during this recent update (early June 2022). If you are running an older iPad, (2nd Gen iPad Pro in my case) the app displays a pop-up warning for possible performance issues and throttles bandwidth at 2000 kbps - or 720P. Period. It is a major disappointment. Roland team, in the future please allow me the ability to find my individual bandwidth limits.

YouTube live doesn’t work
Was able to do 3 live streams on YouTube then it just stop working. Save your money don’t buy the VRC-01
When it works it’s AMAZING!
As a person who does a lot of simultaneous teaching and music making online, one massive improvement to this app would be the ability to screen share from a secondary, linked iPad instead of screen sharing from a computer. Many of the people in my community that would appreciate the intuitiveness and versatility of the AeroCaster use items like an AirTurn Duo to turn pages of projected material using an iPad and OBS through a variety of apps.
Also, being able to resize type and photos easily would be great.
I am also having trouble connecting a brand new 9th generation iPad to the AeroCaster—I can’t figure out if it’s software related, the cable, or the device. The iPad meets or exceeds the recommended specs, but is not in the official verified devices list—none of the new iPads are.
