AES Crypt 4.0 is a game changer. The app offers a smooth, modern design and all problems and bugs have been successfully patched. It’s now so easy to use the app!
You can snap a picture, record a video, even select any file from your gallery and go. It’s so easy to decrypt as well! The app values privacy, and with the new pin and Face ID feature security is top notch.
My previous lifetime subscription still carried from the older versions, which was surprising to say the least! One more thing: the encryptions are very customisable, you can select two versions of AES as well as change the save directories and many more I still haven’t looked into. This app is certainly worth the small $10 price tag.

But I'm sure you know by now that it can't decrypt files encrypted with the latest version of AES Crypt on other platforms. Are you planning to update this? If not, please hand it off to someone who will. I think you owe your paid customers that much.

Do you understand what “free with an app purchases” means? If I have to pay to use the function that is advertised, that means it’s paid not free. Why did you greedy people decide to make it cost money on iOS when it is 100% free on Linux, Windows, and macOS? It’s like iOS is a breeding ground for monetization. I hate Apple. There is not a single thing on the App Store that doesn’t cost money. Again if it is paid, why did you lie that it was free?

SCAM
The encrypt camera didn’t work when you pressed it and kept crashing. When I deleted and reinstalled it, I had to pay AGAIN and there is no way to restore purchases.
Aes crashes
The app is crashing in many scenarios One of them is if you export the encrypted to the app and it has special chars on its filename , like -= Tried with different iPhones Feels like the app wasnt really tested I am the stupid who payed for this app .Main functionality of the app - encrypt camera picture dowsnt work , crashes as well. There arw more scenarios of crashes.
In addition to all this- the app support is linking to malware non existing site!!!

Junk. I’ve requested a refund
I got this app and bought the pro version. I still see no way to introduce a document into the app to have in encrypted. After some effort, I think I have learned that this app con—excuse me, can—not encrypt files or documents. It can only DE crypt them if they have been previously encrypted on some Mac or Windows big computer.
I have no need for other encryption on other machines. I was buying an encryption program for use on and with the iPhone

This app has not been updated in over 4 years and should not be in the App Store! It seems the developers have forgotten about this app. Links to the help site in the app do not even work. Avoid this!
Could be great/useful if…
It appears this app hasn't been updated in a while. Apple has made changes to how Open-in/Share-to feature works and is organized. This app will allow you to copy an .AES encrypted file to the app to decrypt, but you are unable to open-in from other apps such as the photos app, Word, etc. The AESCrypt app/icon doesn't show up as an option. Please update…would make it great and actually useful 🙏

Crashes when trying to delete files
Trying to remove some files from the list ~1GB in size. App crashes when I try to remove them
Useless demo
The free version is basically useless. It does not allow you to test any functionality whatsoever. Every option except for set up a pin requires purchase. In the instructions it says you can decrypt a file from any other IOS app. If you can’t encrypt anything you don’t need to decrypt. Waste of my time!

Over 4 yrs old but can’t make it work
Want my money back!
Not password protected
Encrypts/decrypts files just fine. But the encrypted file is not protected and can be deleted by anyone with access to your device. No password required. Total garbage!
Good, but I want org-mode support
Speedy little app that’s helpful for encrypted notes stored on cloud providers. But I use org mode files, which are just text files, and it’s bamboozled by the extension and refuses to render them.
PIN ENTRY
App allows you to secure it with a pin, finger id or faceID. There seems to be an issue with the pin as if you enter it wrongly a number of times it states “limit exceeded” and then stillallows you entry to the app

Can’t even encrypt a local photo file... receiving from Dropbox/drive and decrypting is something I can’t even imagine this app doing in 10 years of improvements.

Great app for encryption
This is well worth it if you ever need to send documents securely over the web.
With iOS 11, would it be possible to include a batch encryption feature? I would like to take serveral little documents and encypt them all together. Thanks.
Also, I see no way to send comments or requests through your web site. When you get there, it doesn’t even seem like it’s your web site!

Good security, not convenient to use
What do you do if you have, say, five encrypted documents to modify ?
You import every single one of them into AESCrypt, type the password, export to the editor app, make changes, import back to AESCrypt, delete from the editor app, type the password twice, export to your cloud storage, delete from AESCrypt. For every single document.
If you only need to view them, say you're trying to find a particular note saved in one of your monthly statements, that's easier. Export the document to AESCrypt, type the password, for every single one of them. If you're using a strong password >10 random characters, it becomes a real fun after a while. And don't forget to erase the docs from the app once you're done.
Now, all of this could be made much easier by typing a password once per session, and using TouchID to apply it. Until then, it's only really useful for emailing an odd file or two. Oh, and your recipient better have administrator rights on his computer since there's no portable Windows version.
