Afaan Kids

Afaan Kids helps children ages 4–11 learn Afaan Oromoo through playful lessons, listening, songs and everyday words. LEARN THROUGH PLAY Explore letters, numbers, family words and useful phrases. Listen to native pronunciation, practise speaking with grown-up approval, and follow a learning path at your own pace. TWO FREE STARTER LESSONS A grown-up approves the free preview. Two starter lessons are free across the app. Other content is visible with a lock and requires Family access. ONE FAMILY PLAN Family includes the full Kids and adult learning libraries, with up to four private child profiles. Monthly and yearly Apple subscriptions are available in the grown-up area of Afaan Kids. Eligible new subscribers receive a one-week free trial, then the selected plan renews at the price shown before purchase. Existing Family subscribers can connect their child's profile without buying another subscription. Use the same grown-up account in both apps to share Family access. GROWN-UPS STAY IN CONTROL Subscription purchase, Restore Purchases, family connection, account controls and external links are behind a parental gate. A grown-up verifies their account before starting a new subscription so existing access can be checked. Parent credentials are temporary and are not saved on the child's device. Family profiles and assignments are managed in the separate Afaan adult app. Children pair using a temporary code, not a parent's password. LEARN OFFLINE Bundled learning works offline after approval or verified access. Subscription access is checked against its current entitlement; paired Family offline access is time limited and periodically needs an online check. Family assignments and progress sync when the device reconnects. PRIVACY FIRST No advertising or third-party analytics. Optional speaking practice requires separate grown-up approval and is processed on the device. Child profiles use a first name or nickname rather than a child's email address. Grown-ups can remove learner data and delete their account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Deleting an Afaan account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
