It’s a pretty great story! You can type your own name and it gives you a lot of love options (tho I wish there was a LITTLE more time to get to know them better. For my ending, I was genuinely on edge with my decisions! Great writing, and very fast story to get thru. I might buy the rest if I have extra money to spend but I’m not big on purchasing apps. (Tho the price isn’t bad at all)

The only thing I would ask to change is to add a back button in case I accidentally hit the wrong choice.

Good, but

You should make it AI based. Took me a hour to get bored. AI would make it unpredictable

Please restore my purchases

I’ve had this game for nearly two years and I got a new phone. I redownloaded the app and pressed restore purchases, I even signed in to Choice of Games and it refuses to give me my purchases from 2023. I have receipts and screenshots. Who do I contact to get either my money or my items?

Usually don’t like text based games but this is great!!

I love it, the romantic aspect, the choices it was amazing! Thank you so much for making this!

Love it, but part 2 bugged?

I can’t load my saves from part 1, it just instantly ends amd gives me a 20 minute delay after selecting the save file. Disappointing i can’t continue the story but it shows the options

Bugged

I can’t get to part 2 even if I wait 20 minutes, it just sends me back to the beginning

Stakes are high

This game does a good job at making me feel like I’m genuinely about to dismantle and disparage my family’s reputation. The aunt is good at her job, but I kinda wish she would stop talking haha.

A good story and a good game

You are the eldest child of a minor noble family and you’re being sent to court to make your fortune and in the process increase that of your family, in a land where the stability and prosperity of the realm depends on the delicate balance between the light and dark sides of magic (both capable of good or evil) nobles are heir to. From this classic premise you will play out a story of passionate romance, chilling intrigue and electrifying adventure. But of course AotC is more than just a good story.
What makes the game so good is that it knows how to make the CYOA genre enjoyable, by focusing on the INNER story of your character, for which you make every choice from your gender to your strengths and weaknesses to your motivations and goals and of course every meaningful decision you must make to navigate the many crucibles and crises you encounter.
Instead of trying to change the overarching story too much, which actually plays out quite linearly and predictably, a good CYOA means you will decide the HOW and the WHY of a story, which I think is what really immerses you in your character and the world around them. Loved it from start to finish, every step worth the full price.

Gripping ‘til the end!

This is a fantastically engaging romp through the life of a courtier - you can be conniving, power-hungry, and jealous, or honest, heartfelt and generous. Perhaps most importantly, all paths feel genuine. A great piece of interactive fiction.

Wonderful

This sure made me blush!

Perfect

It’s so well made. SO worth the money 👌

Love the game, but...

There’s a glitch that stops me from being able to use my established character from chapter 1 in later chapters, can you please get this fixed? I’ve made my character suit my liking in stats already and I’ve grown attached to their specific story, so it’d be nice to get to continue using them

Going back on a choice

I really like this game and I’ve always been fond of choice stories. However, as a very indecisive person I would love the option to see al the choices I’ve made / chapters I’ve read on the side so I can go back and make another choice instead of starting over every single time.

My god, it’s amazing.

I love this game so freakin much. That’s all I have to say, thank you for reading.

Amazing

I am in actual tears over this. The story had me on the edge of my seat constantly and it is deeply immersive. I chose to buy the other two parts (which are very inexpensive) and I was not disappointed.

Eh

I mean it’s okay but the story doesn’t change based on your gender/sexual orientation the names of the three main love interests change based on whether you prefer girls/boys. I went through the first play through basically being Anne Boleyn and I was hoping to romance the King’s daughter for my next play through but you can’t do that. Very disappointed. Also if you want part two you have to pay money and then you have to pay money again for part three. Overall eh.

Romance options!

Just started, great game. But I want to be able to court both the ladies and gentlemen!

Shouldn’t have to pay for the next part

It’s totally useless if we have to pay for the next chapter in the book, you already have the same app u have to pay for so what’s with this app having to pay

The Best Choice Game

The first part of the story is completely free which is nice but I chose to buy the 2 other parts of the story and it is DEFINITELY worth it. The sheer amount of endings and choices and drama is just insane and it makes the game interesting enough to be played over and over again. I’ve already played multiple times and still haven’t gotten even close to finishing all the endings there are.
BUT the one thing I am a little disappointed in is that in order to reach the other 2 parts of the story and experience multiple endings you have to finish the first part of the story with the King. If you choose the other 2 suitors then the story ends with you marrying them and there’s not much else to it. Would be nice if there was a bit more variation to their endings as well. But overall this is THE most interesting choice game out of all the ones I’ve played!

Worth the money

It’s surprisingly nuanced and layered. There’s a real sense of tension throughout and I enjoy the court intrigue.
