Good App, Frustrating frequently used mechanics
Good app that crashes/glitches occasionally, which can lead to lost work. I’d hesitate to mention this if it weren’t for some of the frustrating UI choices: swiping a card for a separate menu to duplicate a file when there’s a hamburger menu in the upper right hand corner of a card is silly. This is also a pain from a user experience because the gesture attempts often registers as moving across the screen. A secret, gesture-activated menu for common actions is wholly unnecessary with a perfectly good hamburger menu right there. The core of the app is great, that doesn’t really need addressing. Save often and be prepared to fight some questionable design choices that are less frustrating on Affinity Designer 2’s competitors.

Best, most intuitive design app!
I have used this on my iPad Pro for many years and while there is a learning curve, once you get it, this is a DREAM to use. It is easy and everything is clearly labeled when you hover over it. There is even a quick reference guide if you press the ? In the lower right-hand corner. Plus, the video tutorials are EXCELLENT. I originally chose this as a rage against the subscription machine just to see what else is out there, but I have found this to be superior in every way and have never looked back.

Superb Program
I use Affinity every day for almost every project. The ability to use vector and pixel tools within the same program is unmatched. I am eagerly awaiting the anticipated I pad update.

Конечно хочется сказать что интерфейс не самый интуитивный по меркам графического редактора но должен признать что его возможности и единоразовая оплата делают эту программу весьма привлекательным решением для iPad. Я наверное даже скажу что стал больше заниматься творчеством на айпад чем на мак или пк благодаря этому приложению

I’ve migrated away from Adobe products recently, and, while Designer doesn’t have every single thing that Illustrator does, it has almost all of them, and generally, what it does have works better.
Where’s the love
Free after I paid for everything! Fine, great. But no update to the iPad version that I paid for have been supporting since affinity released and even since canva bought, but if this doesn’t change fast im going to where the food is fresh!

ALMOST PERFECT
Designer 2 is my go to app for graphic art. It’s almost perfect, except for one glaring flaw that drives me up the wall — whenever I turn a layer visible or invisible with my Apple Pencil, the app automatically scrolls all the layers down and I have to scroll around to find the layer I’m working on. It’s such a waste of time that I had to knock off 2 whole stars of my rating! **Edit: This app hasn’t been updated in 8 months. A new app that unifies all 3 Affinity apps for iPad was promised, but has yet to be released. Very disappointing.

Downloaded. Now the app is asking for a Canva password. Ok, did that, and got a page that states Affinity Designer is NOT available for iPads. Back to the download. The downloaded app won't accept my ID or password. So, unless you enjoy spending all day chasing software, don't even bother.

I use Affinity Designer 2 on iPad almost every day for illustration, client work, product mockups, posters, cards, and all my “wait, I have an idea” moments. It’s powerful without feeling bloated, and it lets me work in a very natural, flexible way.
For a professional illustrator, it’s honestly one of the best creative tools on the iPad. Clean, precise, reliable — and no subscription nonsense. Bless.

Great for on the go!
Best free app for logo creation and do much more. Tools can be a little complicated but once you get comfortable.
Does not work as documented
I can not even get the context menu (without which this app is largely useless) and have spent time searching for ways to get it up. Every way there supposedly is to get it up leads me to the dead-end of a non-existent menu item, or getting something to come on the screen that just doesn’t come on. HOW THIS PIECE OF JUNK GOT ANY DECENT RATINGS IS A MYSTERY TO ME. As for me, I’d give it zero stars if I could —- even negative stars.

OMG! The worst ever
I cannot begin to say how bad this piece of software. It closely resembles the contents of my dogs lower bowel. It is so glitchy it is now unusable. The interface is terrible with keyboards continually changing size for no reason at all. The list is endless of issues. Go spend your money on electrocution therapy…much more fun!

Affinity Designer and Photo are my design tools on the iPad and the Desktop. Please don’t discontinue them now that Canva bought you.

I started using affinity a lot it only took me like a week to start to get used to it’s great for beginners just look up some tutorials and you’ll get right into it.
