A game that wants your money but will take your time
At it’s core the game is still a Pay To Win (Faster). Putting money down quickly shows you how much more you can succeed and at a much faster pace. That said, it’s also obvious that the game can be played on its own without money involved and still be enjoyable. The story isn’t all that compelling but the characters have personality and some depth which makes them more enjoyable to collect. The art style is also clean cut yet still expressive without looking choppy and offputting. All in all it’s good. It’s just better when you pay.

Can’t even play the game.
Every time I’ve tried to open the app in the last 3 months, I haven’t been able to get past the white screen with the Lilith games logo. I’ve checked and the game doesn’t even need updating either. It’s just broken.

The only problem I’ve had is losing my main account cause I don’t have access to my old email.

This game used to be simple, straightforward, and rewarding for me. If you like feeling constantly disappointed then this game is for you. The game itself is not bad, the base of it is to your daily’s try to progress the story and all while doing this you unlock new heroes and upgrade them. Pretty alright.
Where this game really fails at is simplicity. The art is simplistic, the concept is simplistic, however the constant barrage of updates, watering down the hero pool with way too many elites, and endless events that are pointless in the grand scheme of things is frustrating.
It’s supposed to be an uninvolved type of game. You would think the name “AFK arena” would be mostly a time waster and you’d be correct. Not in a fun way though. The mechanics are set up to make you want to progress. To be the best. No problem with that. Where by concern lay is with the sheer amount of money you have to spend to be competitive. If you’ve got the money, good for you.
It used to be easy to use redemption codes to get varying sums of diamonds or hero shards. Not anymore. They contorted the system so it’s a pain in the backside to get anything “for free”. After you level up enough you will be stuck for weeks if not months on a certain stage. Every diamond you can get helps. They are however greedy with their diamonds. Hiding the vast majority of them behind pay walls. It becomes an unenjoyable grind to play this game for free.
Most of the useful characters are so impossible to attain because a singular one of them (you need about 40 elite cards to max out an elite) is only attainable by pure luck over hundreds of thousands of diamonds or one small payment of 99.99$. What a steal.
This is a game for people with an insane amount of cash and if you don’t have 100k to blow on this game, you are just whale food.
Take it from a guy who was running 10 separate free accounts before he quit. There is some fun to be had but it’s few and far between after a while.
Ps. They really cheesed me off when they changed the redemption system. The game is a solid 3 star even with all the nonsense tho.
