Used to be great, everything great is gone
Story, character development, and strategy is why I used to love this game. The drop off in story after the ending of Galaโs story is immense. If you invested wisely you could build characters and strategies longterm, but they are now invalidated by the latest S+ unit Rolan. Everything is Rolan now. 90 player guilds from start to finish has been a complete lack of care or strategy, just throwing things on the wall and seeing what sticks. Not even one of my favorite IPโs (Digimon) can bring me back to what used to be my favorite mobile game for the past 2-3 years.

The afk part is fun but thereโs more not afk parts than I expected but itโs really fun and interesting
Things have shifted
I played this game a long time ago and came back to it around the time of Thorns of Devotion and fell in love with it all over again, I even went back to play the other seasons, all of which were great! BUT the latest season of Crown of Ashes feltโฆ hollow. Theyโve - for some unknown reason - removed one of my favourite mechanics of Reputation Quests, where f2p players could earn outfits related to factions. It was a great mechanic to tide people over to the next season and spend more time with characters we grew to love. Now in this new season, the main story was over so quickly, things were left unanswered andโฆ thatโs it.
What little we did get of the main story was great, it was just very short and the map was very small compared to older Seasons. I was very disappointed and kept waiting for the next part.
If it continues like this I have a horrid feeling Iโm going to get bored of it again soon, since thereโs very little to do when youโre a story-based single player. I even finished my homestead, you canโt level up anymore after level 20, so you canโt even earn decorations that way.
Itโs becoming very pay-to-play only and itโs such a shame. I really hope they fix this and bring back Reputation Quests soon ๐๐ผ

The game is fun but got boring quickly for me. Story is ok. So 4 out of 5 stars.
