About
Afloata is a ship's log that keeps working when the signal stops.
Service history, engine hours, checklists and reminders live on your phone. They work
forty miles offshore, in a steel shed, in airplane mode — anywhere a connected app would
show you a spinner. The internet is only needed to sync between your own devices.
WHAT YOU CAN KEEP IN IT
• Every boat you own, sail or motor
• Equipment down to serial numbers, manuals and service intervals
• Engine and generator hours, recorded as you run them
• Full service history: what was done, when, by whom, what it cost
• Photos of parts, receipts and completed work
• Departure and shutdown checklists you can repeat every trip
• Reminders for work coming due, by date or by running hours
BUILT FOR NO SIGNAL
Most maintenance apps assume coverage. Afloata assumes the opposite. Records are created
and read on the device, so nothing waits on a connection. When you come back into range,
your changes upload and your other devices catch up on their own.
FOR SAILBOATS AND MOTORBOATS
Inboard diesels, outboards, saildrives, rigging, anodes, batteries, safety gear, and the
equipment that is specific to your boat.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
Export writes a complete snapshot to your device at any time, so your log is never locked
in. Account deletion is permanent and removes synced data from our servers.
PRICING
Free for individual boat owners during early access — unlimited boats, equipment, history
and checklists, with no card and no trial countdown. A paid tier for charter operators
with shared boats, crew roles and a web dashboard is planned, and early-access pricing
will not be taken away from people who joined during it.
