Awful

Full of wrong answers, and the explanations don’t even explain the topic.

Decent study supplement

Good app to utilize with other study guides. Some of the answers don’t match the questions occasionally and sometimes it will refer to an image but there will not be an image.

BAD ANSWERS

At least 20% of their marked correct answers are wrong and have the wrong explaination

Incorrect aviation answers!

The transponder codes for lost communications and general emergency? They are scoring “7500 and 7600” as correct. When the correct answer is “7600 and 7700”
I’m a flight instructor so I’m confident in the aviation portion but those not familiar with aviation, maybe use a different app for the aviation portion. I recommend Private Pilot Prepware.

Tons of incorrect information

I’m giving this app one star because the creator(s) haven’t fixed the app in almost the year duration that I’ve had it. Having incorrect answers is fair (mistakes happen) but not fixing those mistakes within ample time is not okay. Lots of errors in aviation and math to say the least.

Continued blatant wrong answers

I have seen many people from a year ago complaining about the same thing. I mistakenly thought that this issue would be fixed by now. But it hasn't and doesn't look like they plan on fixing this issue. I definitely don't even recommend the free edition and i most definitely think everyone should stay away from the paid version. They do have some good material in here but i just think as a whole this app is unreliable and not worth trusting on such an important test.

Terrible

I feel robbed, as I paid for the premium access. Questions consistently had wrong answers and typos. Questions would refer to an image or table that wasn’t even shown. And this didn’t include anything that I believe helped me on this test. I would love a refund.

It’s ok

The app is a nice resource... but there have been times when I have selected an answer and got it “wrong” but when I check the explanation, the answer I selected was actually right. It could be a glitch but definitely something worth looking into for the developers.

Aviation topic

There are several question in the Aviation topic that are incorrect. These need to be addressed because some individuals may not have an aviation back ground and assume the false answers are correct. We can only take this test twice, please don’t be the reason we fail. FIX ASAP.

Beware

This is an okay app. It contains to many grammatical errors and type-o in the math sections. For instance some words aren’t spaced out (thisiswhatimean) and in the math it will leave out key parts that are paramount in figuring out the math problem. I paid $10 to much for an app that was slapped together whimsically. Very lackadaisical for an app that’s supposed to prep you for the AFOQT. I’d pay $3 tops.

Buy a book

This app has spelling errors, answers that do not match the questions, and a poor user interface. It is nice to have test questions on hand but for its faults, it is not worth it.

Errors and glitches

Recently, some of the answers to the practice questions are incorrect. On a few of them, the “show explanation” paragraph explains an answer to an entirely different question. I’ve also received a question that seemed like it was supposed to have been accompanied by a paragraph prior to the question, but there was no accompanying paragraph, so answering it is a guess in the dark.
This was the free version of the app; the paid version would absolutely be a waste of money.

Decent, but shouldn’t be your only study material.

The app is quiet handy for being able to quiz yourself on the go. That said, it only offers quizzes (no actual study material).

The quizzes are structured decent enough, you can choose which sections you wish to see at any given time. That said, some of the sections do not provide you with the full question, so you’re doomed to guess on those questions. Along with this, there’s naturally a set number of questions available so you’re at risk of memorizing the questions rather than improving your knowledge in that specific section. Obviously, that isn’t the apps fault, but you should ensure this isn't your only study material.

Overall, the mechanics of the app work nicely. But frankly it’s not worth $9.99, in my opinion. For a bit more you can order an AFOQT study book that teaches you and offers quizzes. This app would be greatly improved if they had study material/instructional portions that you can look at rather than just quizzes. If anyone reads this, thanks for your time and best of luck on the AFOQT!

Bad information

As a couple other people have made note, the app is useful; however, the developers clearly don’t have much aviation knowledge. For example one of the questions is regarding transponder codes for loss of comms and emergency (7600 & 7700). They say that is incorrect and give 7500 as a correct answer which is for a hijack. As an aviation professional, this is extremely annoying and needs to be evaluated. This has happened with other questions too...

Gives blatantly wrong answers!

The app answers are not all calibrated right. I will often selects the right answer but it will say it is wrong; when I hit “ view explanation” it gives the completely wrong answer, going on about runway light colors instead of a meteorological answer, just as an example. This may be deliberate, so that it is impossible to get a 100% on a practice test, I don’t know. I’m a meteorologist by the way so I’m pretty sure I know those answers, yet I get about half of them ‘wrong’ but the explanations don’t match. Just be aware, and don’t pay for it, it’s a waste of money.

None of the data questions show data

None of the day questions show any data and some of the answer such as Cain and Abel had such a bad relationship that Cain committed fratricide and if you choose it it says no it is fratricide. This happens a lot. Some of the answers it shows don’t match the question

From Zero to Hero

App which helped me to be Hero from Zero. The best thing about this app I like is the variety and quantity of questions and how the app works so fast.

Answers don’t always match the question

I wish I could upload photos to this review. I’ve seen two incorrect answers so far. One question, for example, was about a budget percentage and the answer was wrong and referenced model plane dimensions. Another question asked what sub flooring is typically used in the US. The answer was not wood, but marble (yes, marble). Then, the explanation referenced a crescent wrench.

I want my money back.

User suggestions should be enabled

The app should have a way for people to contest a question or submit a correction/suggestion. For example, Zulu is not eastern time. Let others help make your app better. Especially since it’s a free download. Thanks!

Several Wrong Answers

While using app, I identified several incorrect choices that the app marked as correct, but were incorrect. The concept of the app is genius, but too many questions are incorrect.
