About
Agaru turns your group class into a live competition on effort.
Check in at your gym by scanning the code on the studio TV. As you train, your heart rate becomes a live effort score, ranked on the TV alongside everyone in the room. Your phone shows your own heart rate, your zone, your rank, and exactly how many points you need to pass the person ahead of you.
Scored on effort, not fitness
Scores are calibrated to your own heart-rate zones, so a beginner working at their limit can beat a fitter athlete who is coasting. The board rewards work, not where you started.
Use what you already wear
- Apple Watch, with the Agaru watch app
- Bluetooth chest straps (Polar, Wahoo, Garmin and others)
- Other watches whose apps sync heart rate to Apple Health, such as Huawei
- No wearable? Your phone's motion gives you an effort score
Apple Health
With your permission, Agaru reads your heart rate and active energy from Apple Health to show them on the class leaderboard, and can save each class to Apple Health as a workout if you turn that on. Health data is never used for advertising and is never sold.
After every class
- Time in each heart-rate zone, calories and your effort score
- Personal records per class type
- Weekly streaks and badges
- A match card to share your result
Between classes
- Book classes and join waitlists
- Track your progress week by week
- See where you stand on your gym's leaderboard
For coaches
Start and end classes, run work and rest intervals, put any athlete on the TV, send shoutouts, and split the room into team battles scored on average effort.
Agaru is used at partner gyms. You need an account from a gym that runs Agaru; ask your gym, or tell yours about us at agarufit.com.
Available in English and Arabic.
