Your birthdays are yours now. • Import instead of sync: contacts come in once and then behave like any other entry — editable, groupable, deletable. New ones you fetch yourself via Settings → Import from Contacts, without duplicates. • An import adds and corrects, it never takes away: no known birth year, no photo you picked and no group is lost. • Pass a list on: export everything or a single group as a file and send it. Whoever opens it sees what is new and what they already have. • Find duplicates and merge them — in one pass. • On a birthday the app greets you with congratulations, by first name. • Reminders: iOS allows 64 scheduled notifications. The lead time per group and muted groups let you choose which 64 those are. • "Restore earlier version" now says what it is: the app's local backups. For moving to a new device there are iCloud sync and the export. • Faster start — the address book is no longer read on every launch. • If a translation is missing you now see the English text instead of an identifier.
