Great narration but lacking elsewhere

The audio narration and background sounds really enhance the experience. Sadly not everything is narrated and it feels a little arbitrary as to what is and isn’t leaving you awkwardly switching between app and story book. Other times (such as scenario 4) the app doesn’t show you which dialogue portions of a conclusion you should be triggering so you have to go into the storybook anyway, undermining the purpose of the app.

The attempt to replicate the city board would have been better served as menus, as it feels awkward trying to find buildings and quests, and the service icons on clicking a building are far too tiny to be useful.

The inability of the app to serve audio in the background makes listening to character stories which are 40 minutes in length more difficult than I would like.

The enemy tracker cannot track as many enemies as the game serves up and is worthless.

Background audio needed

The characters each have really long backstories but the app can’t run audio in the background, when listening to these on walks would be perfect.

Great!

Only thing missing is a rules bot.

It’s… fine

Adequate app that desperately needs the ability to close out of the app or lock your screen while still being able to listen to the audiobooks. Kinda wild that that just doesn’t exist.

Have to constantly reinstall the app

When it’s working it’s great, but it is constantly freezing up (for example, when I click on Scenario 5, it shows the back of the card and does not flip to the front with the information - stuff like this happens constantly). I would have to reinstall it, “play” through the tutorial scenarios in the app again, and then it would work for the next scenario, but now even deleting and reinstalling doesn’t seem to work.

No Sound

Any reason why there’s no sound for me? I’ve played with muting and un-muting, still no sound.

Great companion app

Voiced narrative is great, and excellent presentation in the app

Sound icon is reversed

Harp symbol (upper right corner): when muted (red circle with slash), the sound plays. When unmuted, the sound stops. Mute icon is backwards. **updated review score since this bug was fixed**
