With this application, the user can scan the barcode of retail items using a handheld device and communicate the quantity of the scanned items to the Retail outlet. Later, this quantity can be updated to the respective items in Retail. For example, if the existing quantity of a cotton towel is 100 and the property adds 50 more cotton towels, the updated quantity of the cotton towel will be 50 in case they prefer to override the quantity and 150 in case they prefer to maintain a cumulative quantity.
