Great app for managing recurring tasks

I put all my regular and occasional chores in Google Calendar and while it works well for me, I am often moving them around if I don't get to them. I came across this app on Reddit and decided to try it. (I had come across a similar app earlier, but it was subscription based -- which I try and avoid -- and the cost of a lifetime license was not worth it to me.)

So far, this app is working out well and I am using it daily. Initially, I had run into a small issue with the UI, and the developer was prompt in responding to me. (I would like to see a some enhancements and will suggest them to the developer.) In summary, a very good app for its price!

Thanks for the detailed review, really appreciate it. Glad the pay-once model won you over, and glad support got you sorted quick. Keep the suggestions coming, always looking to improve.

Nice clean design

Very nice interface and easy to use! Nice to open and remember precious moments

Response from developer

Thanks! Glad it's making it easy to hold onto those moments.

Simple yet effective

A very nice and clean piece of app that helps you remember and keep track of important/recurring stuff that you need to do! Recommended!

Response from developer

Thank you! Glad it's helping with the recurring stuff without adding clutter.

The app you didn’t know you needed

I’m a real data and stats nerd so seeing every day things in a new format is really fun. I’ve only seen apps that tell you how long you have until a task is due. This switches it up so your brain is sort of lured in by a mini dopamine rush every time you reset the time on a task. How long has it been since I sorted through my books and donated ones I no longer feel attached to? How many days since I deep cleaned the carpet? Doing a task and getting to reset the days to 0 is so rewarding. Instead of the dread of counting the days until you have to do something over and over, you get the satisfaction each time when you see the days go back to zero. A simple but motivating way to rethink the mundane responsibilities we all have.

This might be my favorite review yet. You nailed exactly what I was going for - the "reset to zero" feeling over the dread of a countdown. Thanks for putting it into words so well.

Essential App

This is one of those apps that lives on my first page. Tracking the last time I did something (haircut, called parents, changed air filters, etc.) is so much better through Ago than using Reminders or Notes. With the addition of the Home Screen widget, this is a straight up must buy!

Response from developer

Thanks for the review. Really glad Ago's earning a spot on your first page - that's exactly the kind of everyday-use we built it for. Glad the widget's landed well too.

good

An incredibly useful time-tracking tool. The new version adds home screen widgets and a full-year calendar view. With thoughtful refinements, a clean interface, and simple logic, you no longer need to manually calculate intervals for tracking various events. Highly recommended!

Response from developer

Thank you. Really glad the calendar and widget are pulling their weight for you — that's exactly what we hoped they'd do.

Nice

I’ve been using Ago for a little while, and I love how simple it is. Sometimes I don’t need a reminder or a complicated schedule. I only want to know how long it’s been since I last did something. This app does exactly that, and it does it well.

The clean design makes everything easy to find, and I appreciate that there are no ads, no account to create, and no subscription. Paying once and keeping it forever feels refreshing. I use it for things like changing my air filter, watering plants, and remembering to check in with family.

I’d love to see a few more features in future updates, like widgets, more customization, and Apple Watch support, but even as it is now, it’s a thoughtful app that keeps life a little more organized without getting in the way. Definitely worth it.

Response from developer

Thanks for the detailed review. Glad the no-ads/no-account/pay-once approach is landing the way we intended. Quick note: the Home Screen widget actually shipped in the latest update, so that one's live now. Apple Watch is something we're looking at for a future release.

The Go-to app for staying productive

Works great for keeping up with short and long-term tasks. It’s really helpful.

Response from developer

Thanks for using Ago for both the short and long-term stuff, glad it's holding up for both.

Nice & Simple

It would be better if it had the option to add a note with the last log time I entered…e.g plants were yellow and gave them meds with water!

Response from developer

Thanks for using Ago. Notes is something we've thought about, want to make sure it doesn't turn this into another app to manage on top of the elapsed-time part, but it's on our radar.

Native and useful

One of the few apps that's actually useful for productivity.

Response from developer

Thank you, that means a lot.
