the freaking keyboard is not working like a typical mono-synth keyboard should, very frustrating, sometimes works, sometimes doesnโt, what are you guys thinking, any keyboard if you hold a key down and you play an other note will play the last note pushed, not this one! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ even of you set this in the setting still not doing it in many cases, the wobbulater is also kind of a disappointment, a great idea poorly executed that limits itโs usefulness and locks you in into a weird button pushing slow workflow, why canโt we draw an envelope, why do we have to choose from preset envelopes and why not a menu, why do I have to cycle though the choices? makes no sense too meโฆ also, why do I have to push buttons to go from one waveform to an other, why not a menu where I see what is available and choose without cycling through all of them, you can keep the buttons if you like that and give a menu too! An other thing, why keep it strictly a monosynth and cut out a whole world of creative opportunity, why donโt you just put a button to switch from mono the poly like any other synth does, after all this is not a hardware synth, itโs a freaking digital synth, why limit it in such a drastic way? Itโs just many weird choices in UX and logic that makes 0 sense to meโฆ really guys, did you think this through? I donโt think so. If you fix these weird choices it could be a great synth, right now it is a bunch of frustrations bundled together that slows down the workflow down and some makes you want to ditch the whole thingโฆ what a pity since the sounds it can make is actually good. Fix this please!

No sound in GarageBand
When i opening this synth in garageband, it disables all sound in GB and it recovering after deleting Agonizerโs track. 100% repro, iphone 12
One of my favorites
Just a note. It seems iOS 18.3 has caused some problems with Agonizer. It gets stuck on the splash screen. Iโve tried resetting the iPad and re-downloading the app. Hope an update is in the works. Iโll revise my review.

Same thing here, excellent synth in standalone, but impossible to have sound in a host like AUM or AuV3.

As a standalone itโs very nice and in the short time it runs in Audiobus Iโm impressed.
Unfortunately after a couple of minutes it crashes which is pretty frustrating seeing as a paid almost ยฃ8 for it.
Uninstalled and tried again with the same result. Any advice would be most welcome.

Unique and Deep
But what I love most about Agonizer is how it is clearly a labor of love, and how it continues to grow and develop. Worth a bit of effort to get to know this one, but there are tons of great presets for the impatient too!

The sounds on here are so awesome and deep. I love the layout. Very smooth and when added to my work flow it spices things up. Check out shockwave as well, my other fav.

I really wish HaQ AttaQ wouldโve picked a different developer to make this app with because this companies brand is going to go down in history as the buggiest iOS audio apps in historyโฆ iโve downloaded freeware that works flawlessly 100% of the time
I know it takes a lot of time and effort in finding and fixing the bugs but instead of fixing the apps that we already purchased they use there time on creating new apps to get more money from us fix the ones we already purchased First.. I have a M1 iPad Pro 11 inch I have to open and close Agonizer several times just to get it to work all I get is no sound & the level meters are peaked out in the red with no audioโฆ Please get to work on fixing bugs not creating new apps because right now I donโt think Iโll be giving you any more of my money unless things change and Iโm sure other customers feel the same way ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ

Scream Issues
I enjoy the app so far but there is an issue with scream button. every time I try to change a different preset, the screen button wigs out. I have to actually jiggle it inside the app in order to have it reset to โ0.0โ. Itโs definitely a workflow killer if you want to try to navigate clearly through the presets. I wasnโt sure if it was a bug or a feature at first but after reviewing the videos and seeing that no one else seem to be running into this problem, something is off.

Very useful sound source, well designed but with some glitches...
Playing with the integrated keyboard is quite challenging, as it seems that it does not handle legato playing in a proper way - might be a (imho questionable) design choice or a bug. If playing legato, sound output stops often unintended. This should be fixed or - if it is a design choice - should be switchable.
The preset browser seems to need some search facility and a filter for favorites. Currently it's very basic and does not feel that this has received much love from the developer and could benefit from some additional work.
The sound is pretty nice and useful. The user interface of the synth is well thought (at least fir me) and is really intuitive to use - however I do not understand, why I could not address all knobs - but only a selection - with the automation facilities. This could also be extended for even more freedom.
