Does not allow access if phone does not have reception

Hope all of us rural medics can memorize our Pediatric doses because if you don’t have reception you can’t access the app! It does not download to your phone so you can’t access it- even if you opened it/ updated it before losing reception.

Rural highways have minimal or spotty reception, our patients deserve better.

New update not useful at all

Protocols just come up as “not found.” Hope everyone has their protocols memorized perfectly! At least they don’t change often! 🤪

Needs structural overhaul

Very glitchy on IOS, requires multiple restarts to return to the main menu. Menu bars disappear once zoomed in or scrolled and don’t always reappear.

Formatting of some protocol/med pages are warped as if an image has been inserted into the page but incorrectly sized.

This is a resource for all EMS in the province, it should be maintained more appropriately.

Not working

This app is no longer working for iPhone

Won’t update

Won’t update, just freezes

Accurate Source of MCP’s

This app is an excellent source of the current MCP’s and gives a good amount information about the pharmacology aspects of EMS; it is a great baseline for understanding the pathophysiological nature of pre-hospital care. I cannot give this app a 5 star rating though, because it is not fully optimized for iPads; the application needs to be configured so that it can be displayed horizontally instead of a sole vertical format. I hope that the developer’s update that aspect in the near future for ease of use.

Can’t use app

Seems to be stuck on the download update page.

Hasn’t worked for years

App is broken, won’t update

Landscape mode on IPAD

Sure do wish that this would work in landscape mode. I use my IPAD most of the time for study and would like to be able to use the keyboard without standing on my head :)

Outdated app

This app needs an in-app update every time you open it and then once it finally updates (like seriously a full minute) the order of the protocols for the different disciplines has randomized since the last time you opened it causing you to have to pause and find the appropriate one. (Not great for Emergency Services obviously.)

The formatting is terrible once you can open a protocol. You have to zoom in to read anything which makes it difficult to switch to another when you need to work between multiple protocols (as ALS ambulances often need to).

This app was great in 2011, it hasn’t been modernized since, and I’m sure it’s costing taxpayers tons of money despite that.

Can’t use any more, won’t update

Tried opening up the app to show protocols to some new students and it is permanently stuck on downloading. If you leave the app it says no connection to internet and closes. Completely broken.

Non functional - data won’t download

Cannot download any content - fully not functional.

Considering how valuable a tool this is- it’s garbage

As many other users have pointed out- this app is absolute trash considering it’s potential as an essential resource for responders.

With almost daily changing protocols to which responders are held accountable, being able to access these- on scene in many cases- is crucial. Yet the app functionality is abysmal.

Downloading constant updates- normally would be great! Except that if you can’t download them for whatever reason or are delayed in downloading them- you can’t skip it. It just tells you “no public protocols are available.”

I want very badly for my guys to be able to refer back to the protocols to fine tune their treatment as they start to catch up with the incident and have a moment to reflect on possible additions to their chosen treatment pathway but as it is right now the service is a total let down and either needs to be fixed or pulled.

App not updating and missing large sections

The medical control protocols and the critical care protocols are missing. As in the entire section is not there. Also it won’t update. I’ve tried everything including deleting the app, resetting my phone and everything else I can think of. I depend on this app and I’m not sure who to reach out to to fix it.

iPhone

Randomly stopped working on my iPhone, tried to delete it and redownload, still doesn’t work.

Best they can do?

Poor user interface and glitchy.
This currently is a missed opportunity to provide protocols to every practitioner.
Acceptable at first, but pretty pathetic now.

White screen

After the app opens there is nothing but a white screen!

Newest update won't save

Newest update has to be downloaded over and over, won't save to work without Internet connection.

NorthernTravels

This reference requires you to download it every time you open the app. Unfortunately, this makes it useless for either reference or study when in remote locations without internet, and also for those of us who have to pay dearly for slow internet bandwidth outside major cities. Also, if you need to close the app to use the phone during a mission, all the information is gone.
Please update the app to retain the protocols while away from internet availability.
