THE ABSOLUTE WORST APP OF ITS KIND!
The photo colorization is a joke. It does almost nothing. In a photo of multiple people only two faces had a slight bit of barely noticeable color. Everything else remained black and white.
Most features cannot be used without paying an outrageous amount of money. This app is so bad that it is inconceivable that anyone would pay anything for it. It is the worst photo editing app of any kind that I have ever seen. Apple really needs to add a zero stars option. This app doesn’t deserve any stars.
Why advertise something the app doesn’t do?

Deleted. When you offer a trial without a plan it’s a scam hoping that people will forget to unsubscribe or don’t know how to and get charged.

I mean this used to be such a fun app before they started charging points. Do you really think it's good business to charge your customers for a 1 in 100 chance for a result they want to see. the odds are stacked against us. we only have a 1 in 100 chance to get what we spent our points on. makes no sense. the subscription fee should be enough

Horrible app
So I contacted support and got a response explaining how to cancel a subscription. I replied asking more questions, like why a free trial turned into charging my card anyway, I got the same exact response. So the “AI” just sends the same pre-generated response from Bella to any of your questions.

If you had ever tried the free trial, you would be charged directly next time when you clicked the plan with free trial. However, for your first free trial, if you cancel in time, you should not be charged. If anything else, please reach us via photo@thebetter.ai directly. We will also improve our support service. Poorly designed and full of ads

Additionally, it's indeed free to restore old photos and generate AI portraits with this AI photo enhancer app! On my second and third photos the colorisation was very poor.
It was a waste of £3.99.

Often good, Occasionally great. Manage Your Expectations
Though I don't work as tics was I once used to (neck pain/horrible headaches) I've learned lighting, contrast, damage and colors make a huge impact to what you will get out of apps that use AI to enhance a photo.
I start of with the native "Photo editor" or "Snapseed" or other apps to lighten, darken, denoise, upscale, and contrast, or sharpen the image. I sometimes may sž use "Evoke" save the result then use the native "Photo editor" or "Snapseed" to improve the image and try it again. Patience pays off.
