What happened?

This used to be my favorite app. 99% of the time retouching a photo would be seamless. It would erase glitches like they were never there. In the last few days, the quality has gone far downhill. It used to erase unwanted objects perfectly; now it replaces those objects with distorted Lines and rectangles. It’s like it has become a completely different app.
