Transcription unavailable
First time I tried the app it was excellent. Second time was a huge failure. Always getting an error message saying transcription is unavailable. How long do we have to wait for this to be fixed. I’ll give it another week. No response to my email support request and I’ll ask for a refund.
Impossible to cancel
I used this once to transcribe notes for a meeting. The notes were never transcribed. It is impossible to cancel the subscription from the app. It just gives options to upgrade. Total scam.

Tried three times, with no success. It caused me problems as those meetings were important and I needed to have the notes after them.
WORST AI TOOL EVER!!
This is the worst AI tool I’ve ever used. You cannot export the audio, all AI features are just FAKE! It kept saying you have internet problems but the truth is the app itself is trash, it’s not able to generate transcript or summarize at all. Even the AI chatbot is not intelligent at all.
Don’t waste money or time
The app has several bugs. The transcription feature gets an 8 out of 10 when it works. However, it does not provide instantaneous transcription, the app records then you have to initiate the transcription process, which may take several minutes depending on the length of the recording. Additionally, there is an error message that states, "transcription service is temporarily unavailable," which hinder the app's purpose of saving time because you have to keep attempting to download the transcript. Then the summary tab doesn’t allow for copying, so if there is a lengthy recording with a summary of follow-ups, users have to manually record the AI-generated notes instead of being able to copy and paste them for immediate action. I would not recommend this app.

I purchased a premium lifetime subscription because I expected Fathom to be reliable for transcription and note-taking. Unfortunately, the app has become very unreliable.
Transcriptions are not consistently processing, notes are disappearing, and in some cases entire transcriptions seem to vanish. For an app built around capturing important conversations, meetings, and records, that is a major problem.
A premium lifetime customer should not have to worry that important notes or transcripts may disappear after relying on the app. This needs urgent attention from the support and engineering team.
Until these issues are fixed, I cannot confidently recommend Fathom for serious work.

This is a fake app and has nothing to do with Fathom video
I downloaded and did a one week trial with this app. Upon finding out that it didn’t work at all I reached out to Fathom only to have them tell me that they don’t have an app yet and this is a scam app. I am unable to get Apple to refund any of these purchases weekly $5 charges though I have reported this several times. I’m going to have to cancel my card and have the bank issue a new one as there is no way to cancel through this app because the developed is also non responsive.

Absolute garbage
I did a recording and tested out the transcript feature, and it worked great. I then went ahead and paid for a year of the app. Ever since I paid, I have not been able to get the recording to create the transcript. For days every single time I try it says the service is unavailable. Try again later. They took my money and now offer zero functionality. So angry. .

What a lie
This app doesn’t work. Been recording meetings for the past week and it starts loading but never ends up doing the job. Do not download. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Not the original, and does not transcribe. Records well though.

When trying to get summary or notes, says unavailable at this time and try again later. Tried daily for 3 days. Same thing. Complete waste of time .
Didn’t Work, Zero Support
This app does not do what it claims it can do for meetings more than 15 minutes long. I needed notes from a 50 minute meeting transcribed and it could not do it. I sent 2 emails via support link to get assistance and I got zero responses over 48 hours. Detrimental to my project. Membership cancelled. App deleted. Going elsewhere.

I just had a less than 1 hour meeting. I am trying to get the summary of my recording and I get error message even though I paid for the premium. What’s the point ? You don’t deserve my money.

Not connected to FathomAI meeting recording application
If you think this is at all connected with FathomAI meeting recordings that records, transcribed, and provides AI summaries and queries do NOT expect it. From what I can tell this app is infringing on FathomAI naming and branding. I am shocked Apple would allow this application through without clarification of branding. I am giving it 2 stars because I don’t know if it does the job but the branding and naming is enough to have me delete it.

Can’t be trusted
This app doesn’t work. I trusted it to record a very important meeting and at the end it just said “recording failed”
Against my better judgment i gave it a second try and it won’t process the transcript much less provide a summary. Don’t trust it!!

Doesnt work
Tried my first transcription. Said service was unavailable. Waited a day tried it again. Still not working. Forgot about it for a day or two. Tried it again multiple times, still not available. But now the trial period has passed and they got my $5.99. App is a joke.
