VERY disappointing!

Are you excited about generative AI ? If yes, look elsewhere. Will it generate images based on your text prompts? Sure. Will you be disappointed with the result? Almost definitely. Was it worth paying for? Nope! Even if it was free I would look elsewhere. DO BETTER!

Keeps crashing

I have an IPad Pro 12. Runs CAD amazingly and fast. But this program keeps failing and crashing. Keeps telling me I’m out of memory, but I’m so far from that.

Terrible app in more ways than one

Firstly, you are only allowed to choose among already-generated AI images, which I do not care for. Secondly, it takes way too long (minute and a half or more) to generate one image, and it's not even that good. I have free apps and online generators that create AI art from any text in seconds! Not keeping this one.

Prepare to be underwhelmed!

What a disappointment! Save your money. The results are very very mediocre. I read an article that suggested it was a great apple app to leverage the power of AI art. What a joke! Sadly I'd already paid before seeing some spectacular professional looking artwork that a friend had produced. He'd used Bing which leverages ChapGPT for free!

Enjoyable way to run stable diffusion locally

I have not had any issues with the app crashing, as two other reviews mentioned months ago. So far it is very stable and a well made app with a good UI.

To the developers: is there any way that the app could have a built-in up scaler? Thanks!!

A real eye-opener

Exploring the creation of pictures using AI is fascinating. AI Photo is reliable and easy to use and fun way to gain some experience with what is possible.

Too Low Resolution

It would be a convenient way to use Stable Diffusion but at this time, this app is not producing a usuable output. While it is reasonble to generate a low resolution (512px x 512px) for preview, it is not anywhere sufficient for a final output once a certain preview is achieved. A prompt needs image dimension requirements for the final output, otherwise, the app is useless.

Also, as mentioned in an earlier review, there is still no bulk-delete action available for the example images. This was critized over 6 months ago and despite the very limited functionality this app offers, it is highly concerning that this issue still exists.

My recommendation: DO NOT BUY until these basic issues have been mentioned as resolved in the version history.

Interesting, But Not Quite Ready for Prime Time

The developers are to be congradulated for bringing this AI capability to individual content creators. However, this app still needs a tad of work. I asked it to generate a picture of a cattle ranch. The background was gorgeous. However, a cow in the foreground had five legs and no head. Minor details.

This is also why I recommended an iPhone or iPad with at least 6GB+ of RAM in the apps description. I’m looking forward to improve this, but it’s tricky, and right now there’s no solution available. Doesn’t currently work on iPhone 13

It says compatible but only gets to the “heating up” stage then crashes just leaving the phone mildly warm.

Awesome, still a way to go

There are other Stable Diffusion apps out there that have more features, but AI Photo is certainly nicer to use than them.

I can see this becoming the de facto Stable Diffusion app on Mac if more features are added.

Interesting but....

So far, very low resolution and fuzzy details make results almost unusable for most usages. Please jump to a more crispy quality !

70 Permanent pictures of cats??

I commend the developer for putting the time and effort into the development for people to enjoy. One bit of feedback, can you please get rid of the 70 pictures of cats? I don't understand. To add to the frusteration, you have to individually delete each picture.

The reason why the app ships with a bunch of pictures including their descriptions was to to provide as many examples as possible to help users get meaningful results. Very well designed!

I'm just starting to learn about the power of AI image generation and this is a really good app to demonstrate that. And best of all, it doesn't require an Internet connection. Just type in a phrase and out comes an image! Well done!
