Ends too early

I'd quite like an endless mode.

A Mishmash of Mechanics

Blegh. I don’t really understand what the developers are going for here. There’s… a lot to this and it’s just confusing. It’s like you’re going through a series of levels and short stories trying to complete them but AI generates the stories and there’s objectives, points, challenged, and prewritten decisions they give you. It’s interesting, I’ll give them that, but not all of it works well, and I feel they just throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and see what works. It feels like they’re trying to go for Reigns but AI. The AI itself isn’t that great and can be fairly nonsensical at times, and trying to get 3 stars in a level is paaaain. And the “characters” you unlock are just sprites that don’t matter and just show up on your screen. The UI is messy too. What even is all this!? What’s the poooint!? Maybe this isn’t just for me. The visual elements and sound cues are neat though. Very reminiscent of Reigns.

EDIT: The developers seem to care about the community quite a bit and genuinely want to improve the app. Respectable. Might be worth getting back into to see what they’ve changed. And the fact they’re trying something different apart from generic chat AI but rather trying to make a ‘game’ out of it is commendable.

Wow, first of all, thank you for such a detailed review! Regarding your comments: 1. You're right, Reigns inspired us. 2. This is a simpler version, where the meditative immersion into the story is more important than achievements. They are more like a nice bonus (both stars and skins). 3. As for the sheer number of features, yes, we're experimenting, but we're trying not to overload. You're probably right – there's still a lot going on. 4. We're constantly working on AI. We don't always get it right, especially with balancing quality and the GPUs we use, but the quality is gradually improving. 5. Regarding the confusing UI – we want to make something unique, something that stands out from hundreds of similar games and apps. Perhaps that's the problem. Or maybe we just didn't do it well. We'll keep working on it and we hope you'll come back. Thanks again for the food for thought!

Fun

Good for helping one overcome writers block. The create your own story feature is great. It’s exactly like those old scholastic choose your own adventure books. The aesthetics of the app are really nice as well.

Amazing AI RPG — Totally Worth Supporting!

I really enjoy this app! The stories are fun, creative, and full of surprises. I decided to buy the Lifetime Game Master subscription for $29.99, and I don't regret it one bit. It's totally worth it for everything you get, plus it helps support the developer to keep improving and adding more content. I can tell a lot of effort and creativity went into making this game, and I appreciate that. I'm happy to support the team behind it and look forward to seeing what they add in the future!

Chalk it up to not being fully developed I guess?

The concept is cool and the layout is easy to use and although there is a lot to look at it’s not overwhelming. Your interaction is quite limited unless you want to pay. My issues are you get halfway through the story, some nonsensical option comes up and then the story abruptly ends. I don’t know if that’s because I was using the free version or the AI just isn’t very well developed. The is a cool feature that allows you to create your own story (only once with the free version) but again the AI takes your three ideas and comes up with some completely unrelated story. (My three words were Japan, racing, underground) and it’s was about me driving into a eerie tunnel and i crashed into a magical barrier that turned into a door into some random chicks house and then it ended.

Hi Dr. Philopian! Thank you for such a big and detailed review, it's really very useful. In the near future we will release a completely redesigned story constructor, which will have more settings and options to customize the story, we hope you like it. P.S. Before starting the game, you can increase the number of steps, and with Game Master you can even play in endless mode

Fun ai app to give you some choose your own adventure books

Just got the upgrade so looking forward to what you can do with it unlocked.

Response from developer

Thank you Barry! Glad you are with us, in the coming days there will be a big update with a new AI

Good but gets boring.

It really has potential but honestly it got boring and every story is so short and not really entertaining and as it continues it makes it less interesting and less entertaining.

Good stuff

Cats rule

Nice!

Very interesting and fun I bought a lifetime game master hope you giving me a surpise improvement!

Not Actually Free to play

Bruh the moment I get done with the very little free stuff I’m just deleting the game because there is not a single universe where I pay a subscription to play a mobile game.

Still in the early stages, but chill and no ads

It’s free and you get many stories about 20 moves per story without purchasing something to get unlimited actions per story

It’s engaging. I think it’s still in the early forms because the actions are usually pick up or drop like they’re complete opposite actions but you can also type things yourself so that is a plus and the AI will only get better probably.

Thank you for such a supportive review! We are moving on!

Too short

Story’s are always way to short, just as I’m getting into it it ends and I can’t do anything about it

Not to bad

The idea itself has a lot of potential but as of this review most the stories spent 12 out the 20 panels talking about running and the rest was the ai trying to figure out where the story was going. Most stories ended with just come up with a good ending (ai suggested answer) good idea but the ai has a long way to go

Got your point Chris, thank you for your honesty! We are constantly working on and improving AI, hope you will like it in the future. P.S. Your suggestion about not only good endings is really interesting, I think how to change and improve this logic, thank you!

Uninspired, way too short, just plain boring

I mean seriously, text adventure games from the 80s are loads more interesting than this slop. The stories lack any detail, they are W A Y too short, there is nothing to even try and get you hooked into a story not like it matters because the story consists of bland options and boring outcomes. Then before you know it the story is over and now you’re thrown into a whole different universe. The background artwork doesn’t even try to match your current situation. Just AI slop. Don’t waste your time, play some good text based adventure games like Zork: The Great, Urban Dead, A dark room, or adventure.

Thank you for your honest review, the games you suggested are certainly legendary! We continue to work on the game with love and soul and strive for our dreams. I hope you will give us another chance in the future, thank you again!

Backround art

Sometimes the art doesnt relate. Playing a mythical game with futuristic backrounds

Great

Insanely fun but I wish it was cheaper for the mastered version

Good job!

I loved how entertaining the stories could get and how weird you could make them.

Response from developer

Glad you like the game deadcoen! Thank you for your review!
