About

AI Trust Filter is a Safari extension that blurs images and posts that look AI-generated while you browse — news sites, social feeds, anywhere you allow it — and marks each one with a badge. Tap the badge to see it; tap again to blur it back. You stay in control of what you look at. EVERYTHING RUNS ON YOUR DEVICE Detection happens inside Safari on your iPhone or iPad using local rules. Nothing you browse, scan, or paste is ever sent to us or to anyone else. No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. YOU SET THE SENSITIVITY Choose Strict, Balanced, or Lenient, and turn image blurring and text blurring on or off independently. Changes apply as pages reload or new content scrolls in. SCAN ANYTHING YOU'VE SAVED Not sure about a photo, video, or block of text? Check it in the app's Scan tab. Results — with a small thumbnail — are kept in a private Library on your device that you can export, import, or clear any time. HOW TO TURN IT ON 1. Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → AI Trust Filter → on 2. Under Permissions, choose All Websites → Allow 3. In Safari, tap the puzzle-piece (or AA) button to set sensitivity The app's Open Settings button takes you straight there. HONEST LIMITS No detector — this one or any commercial one — can prove that content is AI-made. Treat a blur as a lead worth a second look, not a verdict. And iOS doesn't let any app filter inside the Facebook or Instagram apps themselves; use those sites in Safari instead, or save a post to Photos and check it in the Scan tab. Built for people who want a second opinion on what they're seeing, without handing their browsing to anyone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- What's New (first release): First release. NOTES FOR UPLOADING - Category: Utilities (primary), Productivity (secondary). - Screenshots: AppStore/screenshots/screenshot_01–10.png (1260x2736, RGB, 6.9" iPhone slot). The app targets iPad too (TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY 1,2), so App Store Connect will also REQUIRE 13" iPad screenshots (2064x2752 or 2048x2732) — none exist yet. Either capture them on an iPad Pro 13" simulator or set TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY to "1" (iPhone only) before the first build. - Previews: AppStore/previews/*.mov (886x1920, 16 s, audio track present). - App Review notes: "AI Trust Filter is a Safari Web Extension plus a companion app. To test: enable it in Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions, allow All Websites, then open any news site in Safari — items that look AI-generated are blurred with a badge; tap to reveal. The Scan tab works without the extension: pick any photo. No login, no account. All processing is on-device." - Sign-in required: No. Routing/Server URL fields: blank. No IAP. - App Privacy: No, we do not collect data (browsing is read on-device by the extension and never transmitted; the Scan Library is local only). - Age rating: all None / No → 4+. "Unrestricted web access": No — the app itself has no browser; the extension runs inside Safari. - Privacy policy names the one network detail honestly: the extension may re-fetch a large image from the same site that served it to read its metadata; never to us or a third party. - Prerequisites before any of this can be entered: register TWO explicit App IDs in the Developer Portal — com.patricialuttrell.AITrustFilter and com.patricialuttrell.AITrustFilter.Extension — then create the App Store Connect record with the first one; then archive/upload build 1.0 (2).
