Complete rubbish

Brand new detector, up-to-date app, detector makes a noise like an old fax modem but the app never actually shows any information or picks anything up.

Issues

Keeps crashing/force closing. When it “works” it shows like 75% data collected then goes back to zero

Nice feature

Seems like a good feature. Works fine for me. I wish I didn’t have to press the button on the unit to trigger the download audio as I have very high ceilings in three of my rooms, but don’t have any suggestions on that.

Not user friendly

Instructions are poor. And app did not work for me

Great data

I had an alarm that was sounding but as they are all interlinked I didn’t know which one. This clever app allows you to get data by pushing the test button quickly 3 times and the sound that comes from the alarm tells the app all the data from the alarm. Very clever. Helped me identify the alarm with the issue.

It does not work

It freezes during recording

Doesn’t work

Followed instructions but app doesn’t record any data - complete waste of time

Installer Records.

Handy app. Good for keeping records and a great benefit that I can email straight to the client and office. Sometimes a bit hit and miss with the older detectors.

Unable to transmit data information

Unable to transmit data from heat / smoke detectors.

Doesn’t record the transmit, you have to shut the app down or even sometimes switch off your phone to be able to download any data.

Not easy when you have 10 detectors in one building. Please aico sort this out.

Constant failure during download

Been installing AICO for many years and started using the app to download the data when it came out instead of the old style with the dongle. But at least the dongle worked.
The app saves time with reports by not having to make the eel file and the pdf but takes about 10 tries per alarm to do a download and sometimes doesn’t work at all and crashes constantly. If it downloaded the data within 3 tries would be great but never has. Especially when on site and can’t cancel out surrounding noises.

Complete hogwash!

What a waste of time this app is! Paid a fortune for the alarms both the smoke and multi sensor ones PLUS the link modules, to then be faced with a ridiculously inept level of service from the app. Surely the whole point of the app is so that you can keep an eye on the status of the alarms that you’ve spent a lot of money on????? Such a let down from this aico app considering how great the service from their staff is. Very disappointing!

Useful and fairly simple

So useful to be able to get more information from an device about a recent alarm. Ingenious design using tones from the device to send data.

I am a home owner. The features for professionals who install hundreds of tree may be great but I don’t use them.

Awesome

This app is fantastic had my alarm’s installed by electrician today he didn’t even tell me about this functionality but it’s fantastic as someone with autism to be able to get this level of details on alarms as gives you so much more than just a simple alarm test it allows you to unlock full peace of mind more akin to a cars MOT test and see a bigger picture than just a bog standard fire alarm test job well done aico

The + is a negative

Latest iOS 15.3.1. App not compatible with data loaded from previous version. Haven’t installed any new alarms since update so don’t know if record new data works yet. Appears to be the same issue as five years ago. Try loading previous test data and app shuts down. Dare not delete and reinstall as may lose data entirely. Here’s a thought, not that developers read reviews, try testing app before releasing to the unsuspecting. If your car starts but it doesn’t move I guess some say that the car works, not me. Edit: Aaaaaaaargh. Dared to delete and reinstall and did lose data entirely. Only three years worth. Ho-hum never mind.

Works now!

I just installed a new detector and thought I’d try this. Works fine on latest iOS version (15.3.1). Pretty cool actually, not messing with Bluetooth or WiFi. Don’t have to make an account with AICO or anything. Just works, beeping (loudly) like an old modem sending bits through the air as sound beeps!

Deafening data transfer

As someone with sensitive hearing, and a dog that is now petrified, this is the most horrendous/disgraceful thing I've ever heard! Transferring data though the deafening sounder for ~20 seconds is the WORST idea I've ever seen, not to mention you have to be next to the bloody thing, only tried it once, didn't work and at NO point does it say during the process of how it works and now my ears hurt and are ringing! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?
Zero stars, will never, ever try this again!

Works as advertised with iPhone 6s

There are lots of reviews that report problems with this app, however it works as advertised with my iPhone 6s. No problems downloading the data to the phone.

Currently no longer working on iPhone 11

Been using this app for about a year now, upgraded my phone to the 11, and now the app no longer works, as far as I’m aware it’s up to date , app loads up fine until you ask it to record the data burst and the app shuts down

Please fix it ASAP

Thanks

It does not work.

This app just does not work. I have tried it with 5 series 3000 alarms (3028, 3024 and 3014) with 3 different iPhones and all sorts of distances from the alarms and the result is always the same: it appears to be recording the data, then it shows that it is processing and then it reports that there was an error. The suggested workaround is always to bring the phone closer to the alarm, which does not work. I get to think that it is just a marketing gimmick, even though it is not needed, the alarms are excellent without it,

No problems

Installed 6 alarms and wanted to issue full report after doing so. Extracted report on all devices and issued via email, perfect. Tad load when doing it so wore some ear defenders which worked a treat.
