What's New in Air Quality Index

2.1

October 25, 2026

iPhone Duo • Open it up and the map fills the inner display, with layers, forecasts, and search docked beside it. Close it and whatever you had open is still there. • The map’s controls sit in the bar beside the status bar, and the timeline and panels keep clear of the fold. Also in 2.1 • With iOS 26 or later, the map’s controls use the standard toolbar on iPhone and iPad. • On iPad, a docked panel no longer covers the About button. • Search results are framed correctly in right-to-left languages.

Simple and does what it say well

This app does exactly what you’d expect it to - but does it really well!

Non-existent

There is no “gulf of America”. If the developer cannot get that basic information correct they cannot be trusted with anything more complex.

Response from developer

Please contact Apple Support to voice your concern. You'll find that every app using Apple Maps on your device renders exactly the same way.

Thank you for this wonderful site. The ability to see this smoke move over time has allowed me to plan my outdoor activities and avoid toxic pollution.

Limited coverage

Like previous reviewer said, the App only covers the southern part of North America. It would be a cool App if it covered all North America.
