Air Quality Router helps walkers and joggers compare nearby routes and outdoor times with estimated AQI, distance, source freshness, and plain-language reasons in one planning view. It highlights cleaner route choices and cleaner hours while keeping recent, forecast-based, cached, and limited data states visible. Starter remains included with the paid app purchase. It supports one active place per day, up to three route choices, one shared outdoor window across the week, route-aware daily summaries, AQI labels, Activity & Air notes, and Apple Maps directions. Plus adds up to 10 active places per day and four route choices, along with saved places, day-by-day outdoor windows, custom Target AQI, cleaner-later forecast opportunities, selected-route reminders, Calendar follow-through, Scheduled Routes, Guided AQI-Aware Walk on Apple Watch, and broader iPhone and iPad planning. Mac route planning requires Air Quality Router Plus, an optional monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription managed by Apple. The base paid app purchase alone does not unlock Mac route planning. With permission, Guided AQI-Aware Walk saves a standard walking workout and actual route in Apple Health. Air Quality Router keeps no separate workout history. The recap shows the Estimated Route AQI frozen for the planned route at the start, not a completed-path AQI or personal exposure measurement.
