Terrible
Lock never works it’s always in range but never truly connected. Can’t remove from Bluetooth. Can’t re-pair in the app. Tracking card just quit working one day and doesn’t charge now. Basically one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. Wish I could warn others so I hope they read this.
DO not buy
I bought an airbolt lock. The company says refunds if not satisfied. As requested I shared the pictures of the airbolt and packaging, all in pristine condition and now radio silence for 10 days.
DO NOT BUY. You can buy TSA approved locks for much less. What’s unique about this? When you are next to it, you can use your phone to unlock it!!!

Rubbish product
This product has never worked - despite buying 6 of them. Customer service non existent. Have tried repeatedly to cancel my subscription but my login is no longer recognised. Second year in a row they have deducted an annual subscription and refuse to refund it. We are now talking to Fair Trading.
Non-functional
Bought it, followed set-up instructions perfectly, purchased the annual plan & the AirBolt GPS only displays the location of its set-up. It tracks nothing. Reached out to seller twice, and they do not reply—garbage!

Position rarely shown, firmware update failing
Does not work as intended, firmware updates from the app fail all the time. Position is not shown, only when app connects via Bluetooth. Will not extend my subscription with Airbolt.
Waste of time
Just does not work. 2nd day trying … hours wasted on poorly designed product. Instructions are not very helpful. Support ? Still waiting …
AirBolt GPS: scam?
The AirBolt GPS does not work as advertised, and the support team is refusing to refund the expensive subscription.
Inconsistent User Interfaces
The app, manual and web site have different interfaces making it difficult to know which settings to use. This app lags behind the web site as it still says Geofencing coming soon although it is available on the web site. The app and web site should use the same terms so that the online documentation is correct for both.

They are great at helping you trouble shoot issues but when you’re all out of options and request to cancel your account you hear nothing back. Numerous emails sent to cancel and no replies

This is yet another folly of mine, buying a piece of garbage after I’ve had three other locks all fail. I had hoped that they would get this right. Instead, it took them six extra months to actually get the product in my hands and it like the other stuff they sold me doesn’t work don’t buy this garbage this stuff must be made in some village in lower China because the manufacturers don’t care, and they could care less about you as a customer. Singularly unresponsive!!!

Die App bieten Apple Pay als Zahlungsweise an, lehnt dann aber alle Zahlungen wegen eines angeblich falschen Codes ab. Und das noch bei diesen unverschämten Jahrespreis.
Nachtrag: Positiv wäre das Feature, dass man den Tracker mit einem Freund teilen kann. Leider kommt bei dem Freund aber immer die Meldung: Permission Denied. Der Tracker selbst funktioniert aber komischerweise

Needs security
This app does not follow modern security guidelines, such as NIST 600-63. There are no social login options. It’s not possible to use the password manager with it. There’s no MFA.
Cannot get lock to connect to app
I bought a new lock and cannot get it too paid with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It keeps giving me a “Connection Timeout” error even though it’s connected to my phone’s Bluetooth.

I’ve experienced some hardware issues with my AirBolt locking and unlocking and messaging with AirBolt customer support has got to be one of the most frustrating experiences imaginable.
When I say a full month went by before one of my emails was returned, I’m not exaggerating even by a day. This happens well into our conversation, not at the beginning. I just receive a response February 2nd from my last email on December 30th.
Now the rep refuses to honor my request for a different associate to help me with my issue. Claiming she’s “escalating” my issue….which adds no other employees to the conversation, no additional contact, no expedited responses, and no value to my support transaction.

Crashes fixed
Update 7/27/22. With new app release 3.1.3/105, issues have resolved and works as expected !
Crashes But love it when it works
Lately, the app has been crashing shortly after opening. I’ve tried restarting the iPhone twice and checked troubleshooting and no luck. But when it works, it’s great and makes me feel like it’s secure.

Customer service is responsive. However, it just doesn’t work. I can put my iPhone on top of the lock and the app does not detect it even though Bluetooth is connected. I recommend just buying a TSA lock and throwing an Apple Air Tag in your luggage. This has worked seamlessly and is far less expensive.
If you get it working, recommend not locking your luggage in 3rd world countries since they don’t understand it and cut two of mine off. AirBolt was nice about replacing one.
