This version is bad. I cannot change the control type and I cannot play multiplayer in this version.

This version of River Raid is tired & stale! The River Raid we all love is the version made for Atari 5200 or 800 XL/XE (remember the smaller cartridge Atari system?) The 5200 or 800 XL/XE version blows this one out of the water. Not only were the graphics and colors way better, but that game was more dynamic and fun. It featured moving & shooting tanks on the river banks and bridges, shooting helicopters, hot air balloons, etc... it was just way better all around. I wish they ported that version of River Raid to an iOS app. That would be sweet! This version is a yawner... Wait for the Atari 5200 or 800 XL/XE version! You won't be disappointed.

This is a great game! It really brings me back down Memory Lane; it is almost exactly like playing the old Atari (which, I might add, is just as worthy a game console as all of today's modern & high tech video-games)! Keep up the great work!

fun but need contorls option
The game is great, it dose take me back to the days i played it on the 2600, but there is no option to change the contorls, and contorl the speed like in the game.
So simple yet so difficult and addictive...
my first video game i remember playing as a child prolly 3 or 4 years old was this. it programmed me from early on to be a scrolling shooter fanatic. just think back them these games were programmed by only 1 person usually as was the case with river raid. this was classic game of epic importance (with space invaders) to the entire genre. its roots...

Crap
Man I'm glad I didn't pay for this. I played the original river raid game. This is a bad rip off. You will get sick turning the screen and staring at 2d and to top that off the objects(boats, helicopters, FUEL) appear randomly. Which means you might be put in a impossible situation and often are. My first run no fuel showed up.

Crashes on title screen :(
Was only able to play it once (and it was good). Ever since then I can't get past the title screen before it crashes. At least I didn't buy the full version!

Bad control sensitiviy
The original game was great. This provides the same graphics. But bad controls sentivity, which cannot be adjusted, has ruined the game. If they fixed the sensitiviy, i would very gladly buy the game.
And please get rid of that music. Can't you hear people? No music would be better, and more original.
