About

Should you go for that run? Let the air decide. AirQMinder shows the official Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) for wherever you are in Canada — one clear, colour-coded number from the monitoring station nearest you, using live data from Environment and Climate Change Canada. SIMPLE AND CLEAR • One glance: your AQHI from 1 to 10+, colour-coded from low to very high risk • Health Canada's advice for each level, so the number always comes with an answer to "so what should I do?" • The station name, its distance from you, and when the reading was taken — no mystery data ON YOUR SCHEDULE • Choose how often AirQMinder checks: every 5 minutes, every 30 minutes, every 12 hours, or once a day • Automatic refresh every time you open the app, plus pull-to-refresh whenever you want • A home-screen widget keeps the current reading in sight without opening the app at all BUILT FOR CANADA • Works anywhere in Canada with an AQHI monitoring station nearby • Data comes directly from Environment and Climate Change Canada's public feeds • Especially useful during wildfire smoke events, when air quality can change hour to hour PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking • Your location is used only on your device to find the nearest station — it is never stored or shared Whether you're managing asthma, planning a hike, or just deciding whether to open the windows, AirQMinder gives you the answer in one look. AQHI observations are provided by Environment and Climate Change Canada. AirQMinder is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Canada.

What's New in AirQ Minder

1.0.1

August 20, 2026

Fixes a problem where the app could get stuck on "Finding your air quality" instead of showing a reading. The home screen widget no longer shows a reading for the wrong place if your location is briefly unavailable.
