I haven’t used it extensively but I know for sure it will barely load videos and will be very last for the most, so overall I would say to use a different app

Not sure why the developer won’t push for an update , have version 3.0 on iPad but phone is 4.0 , 3.0 doesn’t work anymore on iPad and no update form developer WHy ??? I fly a lot and southwest only uses This app !!! Please push update !! Then maybe I’ll update review !

Doesn’t work well
If ya have 4 hours for a 2 hour movie your good. The WiFi and the app on Southwest is terrible. I have new phone, updated app and still kept dropping movie to re stream. Maybe work out kinks before ya offer something ya can’t provide. Just thought.
No issues
I recently used this app on our Southwest flight. Worked as described and had no issues access videos. Access to the live TV channels offered, movies and more. I thought it worked great and had zero issues or app crashes.
Idiots in airplanes
1. Download before you go!

Meh
If you're ok watching live tv, then it works ok. However, neither the tv series option nor the movie option work at all. All you get is an error message. This happened on June 5 and June 10, 2019. Be ye fair warned.

Useless
The only option I have (literally) when I open the app is to “Access the portal,” which takes me to the Southwest website, where I can’t choose a movie because I “need the Airtime Player app to watch Movies” and gives me no options whatsoever (or TV shows).
Needs improvements
Watched a movie on my iPad and the status bar at the top never went away. There are also no buttons to skip or go back 10 or 30 seconds.

Very disappointing to have free movies but it dropped the movie & disconnected 10x‼️‼️ I finally did get to complete it before landing tho and was advised to email SW to let them know.
Mediocre
Haven’t used it extensively yet, but enough to evaluate the basics. Doesn’t look like it uses the system video player and controls, it uses their own, which is clunkier. It also does not allow for zoom-to-fit of theatrical widescreen (21:9) movies, so if you’re watching on an iPhone X or XS you’re stuck with letterboxing all the way around, which is ridiculous.

What happened?
I’ve had this app for a while and always use it when flying. Today when I tried to use it, i got a message saying the app had been compromised and i May possibly be redirected to a replica app that would have access to all my banking data! Oh no! Where did the real app go! Please fix!! Let me know when it is safe to download it again!

Just watched a movie on Southwest from PHL to FLL. No problems.

Thought I’d watch LaLa Land but couldn’t handle the poor image quality.
Scam
As soon as I downloaded this app they give me a call and said I was infected with a virus and that I needed to get to my computer and give them secret information. They said someone’s trying to use my account overseas. Total scam.
Terrible app
I paid for the WiFi and every time I tried to open a movie in the app it told me that an error had occurred and that I could not watch my movie. This was a waste of money and overall a bad experience
Paid $8 for WiFi a won’t download
Didn’t know this was a requirement to watch movies... paid $8 for WiFi and the app won’t even download - wish I could get a Southwest refund on my $8 💩
Doesn’t work
On Southwest flight now. Downloaded app to watch movie. App doesn’t work. Says portal isn’t secure or trusted and takes you back to SW main site. Doesn’t load anything.
