Now you can dictate. Your keyboard works exactly as before, and now it listens too. - Speak your language. Talk naturally, and Akshar types it in your script, in 22 Indian languages. - Entirely on device. Dictation runs on your iPhone or iPad, and your voice never leaves it. No internet needed. - Right on your keyboard. After setup, a mic key appears on the Akshar keyboard. Dictate into any app. - Dictate in Notes. Tap the mic in a note to speak straight into it, then edit as usual. - A listening indicator in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen while you dictate. - Two new languages: Dogri and Santali. Akshar now supports 23 Indian languages. Dictation needs iOS 26.4 or later. Existing users can set it up in one tap from the home screen.

Better than the system keyboard!

Supports more Indian languages than the system keyboard and is super fast and accurate! It is completely free as well! Kudos to the developer!

Keyboard is fantastic!

Learnt about the integrated keyboard just recently and it works flawlessly. Such a simple case but the execution to fulfill it is great!

Previously, the way to go was type in English -> Google translate -> copy translated Indic text. But now everything happens with good accuracy right where you want it. Kudos :)
