Notifications

We should be able to delete notifications after we have read them. It takes up unnecessary space and with us needing anonymity who’s to say that our alcoholics/addicts do not gain access to our phones and then it starts a fight? I can hear some smart guy say, “Well don’t give them access!” Well you try and do that when you’re married to them! I’m telling you that if I can’t cover my tracks then I won’t be using this app.

Love the App

I for one could not be without the App. Takes afew meetings to get accustomed to using all the features. Had been so helpful as no in person meeting where I live either.

No moderation

I want to recommend this app. The meetings are lifesavers. But the lack of moderation in the social aspect/news feed allows for rude, unchecked people to comment on posts from others with no risk of being moderated. On top of this, because the block function only works for messages and the blocked user’s posts, the people I blocked still show up on posts and comments. MarkM is inflammatory and rude to others every single day, violating ToS multiple times, yet I can’t even block him and avoid his nonsense cause I can still see his comments on other’s posts. For a recovery community like Al-Anon, full of people needing help and wanting a community we can actually speak to, this is insanely detrimental to us who want a space we be supportive of each other in. Because I don’t want to use this app I’ve been way less active in the overall program as I used to love contributing, but since the WSO seem uninterested in moderation after even being emailed, I’ll stick to my local group and hopefully find online zoom groups I can make friends in.

Can’t sign up

No matter what I do I get error messages when I try to sign up. I’m meeting all the password requirements, but nothing works. I’m disappointed because I was trying to attend my first meeting.

Meeting times

I’ve had a couple instances where I’ve logged on a few minutes past the hour hoping to find a meeting. It appears that the meetings available advance to the next hour so if you show up six minutes past noon, the meetings listed have already advanced to 1 o’clock and there’s no way to find a noon meeting to join a few minutes late. Please leave the meetings up for the current hour. Some of us are rushing to attend these and then have to reschedule.

Mrs Cuc

Having a hard time creating an account. Every time I make up a password, it will not take the password and it keeps on telling me to have a certain amount of letters symbols, etc.. I am following what they're saying, but it's still not letting me open an account.

No matter what you do, no password works

I couldn’t register because no password would be accepted even though I followed the instructions.

Names blocked out

The app is great for meetings but recently in the participant list some people have a block over their name. This block can also move over a split screen. It is affecting the flow of the meeting when their have to call on them.

Don’t see this being addressed or in the list of recent reviews

No filter for Women Specific Meetings

Why in the world is there no filter for women’s only meetings??!?!

buggy

can’t log on. tells me i need a certain kind of password and i enter exactly what it says and it still won’t let me in. in a time of crisis and the crisis app doesn’t work

Great group, app not.

The content of these meetings and organization are very helpful. The sign in on the app is awful. I understand the need for forced password change periodically. However the reset is convoluted at times I most need to get on the app. The wording of the forced reset is upsetting and contrary to the purpose and mission of the organization.

Error message

Can’t go to meeting schedule, just get error message. After waiting a couple days, I opened the app again and it asked to update, and I was hopeful. Still doesn’t work.

Can’t access meetings- error message

Can’t access meeting schedule!

Great App - Just Needs A Couple Things

This is a great app, and is well built. It’s intuitive, simple, secure, and has most of the features one would want in an app such as this. I’m appreciative of the tons of work that the team has put into this app.

Two notes for improvement - it would be great to have an iPad optimized version of the app. It’s a little clunky on the iPad, and the upscaling that it does automatically is not great. Also, it would be helpful if this app could run in the background so that I can switch between apps and not have it pause/kick me out of the meeting when the app is minimized.

Thank you for your service!

App continues to decline. New update forces camera on when joining and other bugs.

A recent update now enables video whenever I join a meeting. No way to disable this, I have to first point my phone away from me, join, then immediately turn off my camera.

App must be in foreground to listen to a meeting.

Meetings in the app should also be available directly with Zoom. Don’t force us to use the app.

I Can’t Log On

Unable to log on. Multiple user name variations have been tried, and I follow the directions. I’ve been trying for weeks and now throw in the towel. An app like this could really have helped but I can’t even get on and find current meetings or any help. Thanks Al Anon for this, and no evening meetings where I live. You claim to help, but finding so very little help. At the very least a basic website should be maintained and offered for people who quite frankly are desperate. I am desperate, depressed and out of strength.

Easy way to join meetings

I love this app, it’s amazing for connecting with people and attending meetings all throughout the day. So helpful, and thank you to the organizers!

Where are they??

I’ve looked over and over again to find a meeting. Where are they??
Are we afraid to go to a meeting??
Do we hate looking at others in the same room because why??

PLEASE FIX BUG

CANNOT SWITCH BETWEEN APPS!!

Expect several days of non-operation after each iOS update.

Consistently locking thousands of people in need out of meetings after each iOS update does not honor what AFG is supposed to be. Fix it. Hire real app developers that can regression test on iPhones.
